Good drama but Africa being displayed like that kinda throws me off. There are so many countries in Africa that are rich but people just generalize it all and make it seem "poor". At least state the country you're helping, not just generalize all of Africa. Its 2022 and these harmful stereotypes still exist. People ignoring things like this and saying "its just fiction" is what sets us back. Representation of black people is good but why is it always about being low-class and poor? Representation is good but at what cost? They could of made him do volunteer work in South Korea but it seems like they're uncomfortable showing their country as "poor".
South Korea also has a huge poverty problem, it has one of the highest rates of poverty among OECD countries. They could even use a Korean child for the relationship between Luca and GTS but no they had to use a black child because its so important for them to display their performative activism and white savior complex.
"Its not that deep". It is that deep when the whole continent of Africa is being displayed like this. Of course it's important to bring awareness to issues like poverty but it comes off in the wrong way when these stereotypes help in building more negative stereotypes and benefit classism.
They kept saying the whole of Africa instead of saying a country. Maybe if they said a country it would bring awareness but what's the point when there's different parts of Africa and not all of them are in poverty. The yellow filter to make the air seem bad as if the air quality in SK isn't also bad.
Also don't even say "the west does this all the time and no one says anything" because people do say it. But most people who talk about it get ignored. Especially black people who speak on issues like this get silenced ALOT so it seems like no one says anything but people do talk about it. Also just because the west does it doesn't mean the East should do it. If you claim to be against racism and stereotypes, make sure you stand up for all. Not just the ones that benefit you for your entertainment to watch this drama.
Yun Ji On is so finee. One of the finest men i´ve ever seen. I got interested in this show bc of Rowoon but ended up falling for Ji On. This brings back memories from when I watched True Beauty for Eunwoo but ended up falling for Hwang In Yeop
You could run with a bloody leg. The intensity of a situation will decide what you can do and what you can't at…
yeah ik, i was just joking. Once he met Ha-ri, i even forgot about the broken arm. It only clicked at the end when there was the ending montage and I saw a pic of him in a cast I realised "damn where did the cast go"
Lmao I was thinking the exact same thing! That whole scene was sooo awkward IMO. It wasn’t hot at all, like…
yeahh i think it was also the angles and how it was directed. I dont think they're bad kissers bc the BTS of the other kiss scene was good. Idk what happened here cause it was kinda awkward.

It’s not just me that feels this way, there are many other people. Just watch these video and also see the comments who give their opinion on why it’s bad.
