to be honest it's hard to say, i personally thought it was good but nothing that blew me away (maybe because i watched it without knowing the synopsis). but it seems like a lot of people really liked it and i think i would recommend it to anyone who wants to watch a quick dark comedy romance drama.

Just because time has passed and it seems like the characters should have it better and they are "adults" now doesn't automatically mean they've become better people. Sure, we don't exactly know what's been happening between the incident 12 years ago and now present time, but things have changed. Whatever happened to DH he's clearly not the same he was before, everything with uni, his job and even the people he's with it's different. JY is practically doing pretty much the same thing he's always been doing, with taekwondo. One doesn't want to go back to the past, the other seem to be stuck in the past. Like these are two deeply flawed characters both suffering from trauma and they're both handling it differently. Thinking and wanting that they should have healed from their trauma, reconciled and be all in love after meeting each other for the first time in 12 years is unrealistic.

very refreshing to see a very realistic ending to a drama in this genre. i'm looking forward to season 2 and i might pick up on the webtoon since i really liked this show a lot !

wow this was not easy to watch but definitely eye opening and gave a very real image of the corruption and abuse of power in the south korean military. it was worth watching and i'm happy i did it. the acting and the production overall + ost is phenomenal, these netflix kdramas that have been released this year are really well made.

also dongshik takes medication, he got some kind of problem that might have started after his partner died (there's flashbacks each time his leg hurts and he has to take the medicine). if he was the killer he wouldn't probably be affected by the death of his partner, and wouldn't have an illness that requires him to take medication so often.

i don't think either of the two leads are the killer it'd be too easy, also joowon is too young to have been behind the other deaths that took place 20 years ago. i have a suspicion it might be the parents (joowon's dad and jungje's mom) or that they can be behind it they're in a hurry to get in a better position in their work of fields, and both joowon and jungje seems to not be so close with their parents. also jihoon in the 4th episode, he seemed so suspicious i think whoever is behind, he is definitely trying to protect them and since joowon thinks dongshik is the killer, jihoon can use joowon and trick him into saying that he is on joowon's side. about dongshik i think he is playing along as being the "killer" so that the actual killer might want to find him and kill him, and by that he will be able to know who it is.
