Don't you think that it is slowy coming back to a more bold approach? Around 2010, we could see entire japanese romance drama without a kiss (or the infamous dead fish eye kiss) but lately, I see more and more drama which take a more realistic approach. I remember some dramas where a years-long couple would look like they never touched eachother or things like that. And for exemple, in the drama Kemono ni narenai watashitachi, Aragaki Yui has a boyfriend and we see them sharing the same bed and being comfy with eachother like it was natural (it still is soft but it changes from other dramas). And I saw other dramas where it was the same thing like that. Takane no Hana has kisses and even sex scenes (well, in a japanese way...) It is stange how this daring attitude in dramas comes and goes depending the generations.
Wait...what? What a twist at the beginning of the 6th episode! Somehow, it is very sad and I cried a lot but at the same time, it is full of hope and the new created family with Miyuki and Akiko is cute. But it was so so unexpected! But after all, in the reality, when people have an incurable disease, they die. So well, the dad died, but life goes on!

That is a problem that I have with a lot of asian dramas. Nao always do things for Uehara or with the idea of satisfying him... but Uehara,no. It is like she only lives for him.Uehara is shown as trying to find his path (how can he suddenly be so talented in biology when he doesn't study it? Why does he always have to be the "perfect guy"?). In this drama, this kind of sexism isn't that strong but these kind of tropes are in a lot of asian dramas.
I am not a prude but when you feel like you have to close the screen or move to another side of the living room…

I totally agree with you. Aki is humiliated by everybody and she just apologizes...Seriously the mothers gang is awfull and when Aki is humiliated repeteadly,even in front of her children, she just accepts it...I am not sure about the way they talk about the role of a "mother" in this drama, like they are supposed to be satisfied being just a mother and being completely dedicated to it like there were nothing else they could possibly want...And the father is just soo bad, such a coward, yelling at his wife that she isn't perfect enough....And again, Aki apologizes...It made me angry!
Oh,yay, so sad, the guy has a bad childhood with a crazy mom so not a big deal if he kidnapped children because after all, the mothers were all bad (the absent fathers?who cares?....).One of the mother was abused by her husband? Her fault for being a bad mother...A mother didn't see his child being abused at school? Her fault too...The thing is, those are not just the justifications of the bad guy, the police seemed to think like him!
Yumiko spies on everyone and Aki knows it but,no, she doesn't call the police.
Aki's children have a tendancy to disappear (lost in the wood, kidnapped by a lunatic=> and in this case, Aki is still hodl responsible because she left her daughter with a trusted woman who was supposed to take care of her but didn't...)
Sooo many things that frustrated me in this drama!I don't think it was a bad one but there is definitely things that were frustrating!

I am surprised by this drama.I thought it would be bad but the first episode was good and the 2 main actors are great and are abble to play intimate scenes without it being awkward!
I held back negative comments to give the 2nd ep a chance, but it was exactly like the first. 95% of this show…
It becomes a little darker, I like it more than before. And I am terrified to know what happened between the big bro and his girlfriend when he forced her to sit on the couch and we don't know what happened after that...I just hope he didn't do anything to her...I can't wait for the next episode now that it is better!

They aren't brothers by blood. The mother of one is married with the father of the other and the 2 guys don't know about that right away (the mother of Bai Luo Yin has left him with his father years ago and they aren't really in contact). There is no incest in here since they don't share the same blood and never lived or knew each other before being in the same class in high school.
