I might not be able to retweet or share this post because my twitter's been dead for years, and my instagram just got hacked a couple months ago (r.i.p) But I am hyped when it comes to food so please don't mind me, just a random rant passing through. lol
My favorite Korean food is definitely Bibimbap. All the vegetables have their own distinct taste and 'personalities' yet they complement each other very well. Mix it with the sweet and salty chili paste and pair it off with a side of Kimchi and you got yourself the perfect burst of flavors in a sitting. Ughh.
I also LOVE Samgyetang and Sikhye. Samgyetang is the perfect comfort food when you're cold and hungry. The bits of softened rice, the tender chicken that falls right off the bone and the milky broth that's light yet tasty is what I crave -- even when I don't have a cold. While Sikhye is a sweet drink/dessert with unique taste. It has that depth of flavor AND a pleasant surprise especially if you get to bite the rice 'pulps' (is that what it's called? haha) where they always make my gums feel tingly :'D
I also like Hotteok, Pajeon, Kimbap, Japchae, Bulgogi, and the Korean fried chicken is really good too! But the top 3 on the list gotta go to the ones I mentioned above. I haven't tried all but that's all I could think of right now. And I'm craving for some Samgyetang. Someone please send help ASAP.
