This series is so good and has succeeded in doing so many things well where other dramas u to this oint in time have not been able to accomlish. But Im not looking forward to the oenending cliche tragic death and wait forever storyline, where the male lead miraculously is imlied to come back as someone who is comletely different but were just suosed to retend is him, and not even getting to see him on camera one last time, of all the xianxia cdramas.
I dont think its fair for Gong Yejiwu to attribute Susus love for him as having anything to do with Xiao Ling as Susu grew u with him and knew him first. She knew Xiao Ling for like two years and they barely interacted.
Anyone understand what was going on when LSS and TTJ were both trying to get Xi Sui Yin from Si Ying? - Why was LSS injured from the recoil when they finally got it from Si Ying in their tug of war? - Why was she saying TTJ was throwing away his life when the Xi Sui Yin was entering his blood? It's not like he was doing it on purpose. - What was the purpose of her using her powers? I don't get what she was doing with that beam of spiritual power. She eventually sort of pushed it out of him with a blast, but why did that hurt her and why didn't she do it earlier? - Finally, how did her spiritual symbol on her head repress the Demon God's consciousness?
I think that it's very sus that gods aren't allowed to fall in love when it's not something one can control. It's horribly ironic that gods have to abstain and control their feelings to the point of being monks. Also, I thought the punishment for falling in love was death, but then Ying Yuan requested the punishment and lived. There seems to be bias from Di Zun in regards to Ying Yuan.
Is splitting dramas in part 1 and part 2 some kind of new trend? First The Blue Whisper and now Immortal Samsara…
In China, there's a problem with shows being too long and having too many filler episodes, so a law was recently passed shortening shows to around 30-40 episodes to increase quality. To get around it, producers are breaking shows into two parts, supposedly "two separate shows" so they're not over the limit.
I guess that’s why when he split his tail he had another “pearl”? I love the differences so far but I had…
You’re right! I forgot about that. That’s three different pearls then: his spiritual core, jiaozhu, and his tail. When he split his tail, the show calls it more “cutting”, so he basically severed his tail off and it became an object by itself in the form of a pearl. I think that means he can get it back :)
Different from the novel, Changyi’s spiritual core has a crack and is at risk of breaking when he uses his powers. In the episode, the Grand Master established that the Jiaoren’s jiaozhu has the power to repair spiritual cores, so people can eternally have their spiritual power replenished and be ‘reborn’. This is probably where the conflict will arise between Ji Yunhe and Changyi about her possessing his jaiozhu or be one of the reasons he seeks her out, since another difference from the novel, the jiaozhu and spiritual core are different things whereas in the novel, the jiaozhu is the jiaoren’s version of the spiritual core. I wondered earlier how he used his powers after giving Ji Yunhe his jiaozhu.
She’s so cool!! Ugh only the beginning, some middle is interesting. Later she becomes so weak and boring. The ending is really rushed and weird. I wish this show was about her journey from free-spirited girl who doesn’t understand the world and has an innocent one sided view of the world to creating her sect and looking past her hate after realizing the people who stands by her (Mo Qing). Instead no one changes, everyone is the same as they always are. No backstory that matters. They don’t even know where each other comes from and are there for each other from the beginning but don’t explore that. I just wish this story was about the journey instead of like hanging around each other, being weak, and living everyday. Like this show needs a goal and direction for the characters. She’s like so irrelevant by the end and her fashion makes me wanna gag. Like her fashion in the past timeline is so good and then later she looks so plain and mellow and old and boring. That’s my rant. Anyway, I’ve legit skipped practically every conversation between all the Zhong Men Sect people and still understand the show. Their moments together are sweet. But the story could’ve been so epic. I kinda just fill in what I wished happened in between.
