Aahhh I wanted to stay because sakurada dori is so hot hot hot here, but everything is too unbearable -..-
I wanted to see steamier jdrama after watching rinko-san wa shite mitai and got hooked, but but but.. I cannn’t.. eventhough sakurada dori got me salivating here. Sorryy I also liked haruka-chan a lot, but unfortunately not here.
seriously japan, what’s with those printed out rules with long clip and plastic sheet cover, are you really still doing that in real life in 2021 over there?!! 😫
I was so excited for all those actors but truthfully the story is just so hard to put up with. After episode 5, I didn’t mean to drop it but I just found it hard to watch and I stopped waiting for new episode entirely. And mind you, I’m not even a cherry magic fan but in some episode I did think they kinda milking the machida keita - akaso eiji popularity, which I think they didn’t need to do at all because the first 3 episodes was okay but it quickly gone down hill I don’t know why 😕
No matter how many episodes, Eiji looks a little bit too mature for final year college student. Same with Shida…
But to be honest, Japan sometimes have problem in casting appropriate age actor and I think Eiji Akaso as a final year college student here isn’t so bad. I mean, have you seen masataka kubota and mamiya shotaro as high schooler? 😆
Okay so Haruka Ayase won best actress in the Tokyo Drama Award 2021 thingy, but I personally liked Takahashi Issei’s acting more in this drama. But he went against Kubota Masataka in Yell so yeah, it’s a tough choice. But the way Takahashi Issei’s voice changed when he went back to being Hidaka was so superb >.<
I don’t know if the story was good or bad because takahashi issei and aoi yu performances was just mesmerizing. It’s not as weird as some people here said (well, maybe a little bit), but the pacing is good and the love story is sweet. I went back again for some sweet scenes.
JDrama - the champion of slow burn romance. It’s sure slow, but it’s burning. I’m not really a fan of a slow drama, but this one hooked me from the first episode. The pacing is not boring, it’s just relaxed. Gakki is so so soothing for the eye here.
Watching the tension grows between the two leads is like sitting behind a fireplace. My only complaint is just I wish I can see more of their relationship afterwards.
I seriously miss this series. It’s one of the kind that make me feel so unfortunate that japanese dramas don’t have lots of seasons (even though usually I like them for that). At first I found Kitagawa Keiko’s acting a bit too much (my face muscles got exhausted just from watching her), but seriously after watching a few episodes I fell in love and with those two seasons, seriously I wish we have more seasons. There will never be the same characters as Sangenya Machi and friends and that “GO” will never be forgotten >.<
Why the hate for Haruka’s character though? I read a lot of comments of not liking her. I think her character is quite relatable if you think about a woman scientist in her situation, and her love for Sakuto is sincere. This story doesn’t need a flawless and cute heroine, right? I also think the love story (including those of Sakuto’s friends) is needed and written in nicely to convey that love and feelings are the things that made us human, not only intelligence. I enjoyed this series much.
