I think netflix changed it's policy concerning releasing collaborated TV shows. It won't be released on Netflix…
Not totally. Live on Tvn is on netflix (uk and canada though) one week after it airs in Korea. That could be the case here as well, especially since Netflix is picking up dramas en masse these days.
From the moment I heard Noh Heekyung and Kwangsoo were going to work together again, I was excited. What I love about Noh Heekyung's writing is the ability to not stick to surface material when writing about professions and human thought regarding those. It's always deeper, and real to actual feelings people have. And what I especially love was her ability to really give Kwangsoo's characters more depth and seriousness than what I'm used to seeing. From It's Okay That's Love and now Live, his characters have been interesting and show off a serious side of his acting that most of us may not see or are used to seeing. Live is really letting Kwangsoo show his acting full force and I know this is gonna be a top drama for me.
I guess I am the only one who so unconvinced with story taking this turn in last few episodes... So many loose…
I disagree about how the characters become lame—everything that happens is clear character development. Initially, Han Jiwon and Go Hyeran are opposing to each other, because Hyeran has increasing dreams and Jiwon is a lot like her. Ambitious and willing to anything to reach the top. A majority of their opposition stems from the fact that Hyeran has a reputation of being cold and to the point, but good at her job. It's only as she goes through these continuous problems that she realizes that she can't tackle everything on her own in this manner and sees some of her own errors and tries to correct them—likewise those around her see her walls come down and how intensely false rumors are and really embrace her, Jiwon included. Jiwon, to me, never stops being a strong character because Jiwon is another version of Hyeran. She faces opposition from her own boss and has to choose to do what is right or be stepped on as a female journalist, she has to face the fact that she needs Hyeran to advance and pave the way for her if there's any chance of her going up as far as she wants.
Taewook to be is one of the strongest characters in the drama. His and Hyeran's complexity and how you see their roles literally switch so dramatically and subtly—Hyeran who was harder becomes softer as she learns to trust and relax, Taewook who was softer becomes harder and guarded for his own reasons. Seo Eunjoo, though she gets lost towards the end, became more increasingly strong willed as things went on, though she took more of a backseat.
I think this drama had great forms of character direction because most of it's central characters went through a change that was necessary and needed, or detrimental to them. It shows dimension.
WAIT!!! Why arent eps 11&12 airing this week?!?!?! I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR A WHOLE WEEK FOR THE NEW EPS AND UR…
The drama's been extended to twenty episodes, most likely because the drama following this is currently on hold due to the main actress' health problems. Most likely the writers/director/crew are going over the scripts to make sure it's better and doesn't seem like they literally just added episodes and random plots in at the end and it flows better!
I know a couple of sites where you can watch it with subtitles, but they only go to episode 3. I was waiting and…
The complete series is now up to stream on Netflix, which is really the most legit way to go. Fastdrama also ripped their subs and has it on their site.
Is this more of a crime triller or more of a sappy melodrama about a reconciling couple? I need to know the focus…
It's really neither and also both. Both story lines are intertwined, but in no way is it cliche as a crime thriller or a melodrama either. It's just really good.
do i have to watch the first season in order to enjoy this one? or can i just watch this on its own?
I would watch the first season! It gives a better backstory to how the two work together, and also because they both have backstories that are interconnected that should be resolved this season. It's a quick watch (at least to me) and the episodes are pretty enjoyable so it shouldn't take long to finish!
