The Murong family has been marshall/warlord through generations but his older brother loves qingyi so much he allow him to study medicine and pursue his dream of being a doctor. While qingyu himself take on full responsibility of the Murong family and business. Qingyu love qingyi and wanted to protect him but sometimes that ended up hurting qingyi especially trying to separate him from ren susu.

Ren susu would have left with qingyi because she has already made peace with her parents death, thats why ren susu refuse the first time when qingyu offered. Ren susu loves qingyi and wanted to run away and settle down that's why she was crying while on the phone and ask him if he would want to run away with her. but they kill Mr. FANG who was her freinds father and a father figure to her so that pulls her back to the path of revenge. Plus qingyu plan was to also separate her from qingyi and she will be most likely killed at the wedding. But Ms. YE volunteer to swap with ren susu to help her but more like she can walk down the aisle with qingyu whom she loves.

It was Ms. YE who over heard qingyu plan at the office and she met up with ren susu and volunteer to swap places, it was not Ren susu is idea. Qingyu agreed to the swapping because he loves Ms. YE and wanted to walk down the aisle with the person he loves. The plan was to kill Mr. Li but who would have known that the Huo girl would show up and tried to shoot at the bride (thinking that it was ren susu). You can think what ever you want but this is what happened.

You probably missed the backstory, his older brother taught him some training including: fighting and shooting skills and also taught him how to fly airplanes before he enter his doctor era.

Bruh, 3 years ago she had to save her friend fang mulan from the nasty pervert huo household, did you miss the backstory? They blame qingyi because he took ren susu there but afterward ren susu shot herself on the train to clear his name but the huo family won't take it and lock him up( they wanted to kill qingyi but his older brother neogitate in putting qingyi in jail for 3 years instead) . Plus this wedding idea was qingyu idea to revenge for the death of his father Murong Feng, he also found out about ren susu background too, he pressure and wanted ren susu to kill Mr. Li. It's More like qingyu plans failed and got him killed. Anyways every character has their own reasons.

It's the Murong rule to stab themselves 3 times, he really meant it that he will break off his ties with the Murong family that's why he stab himself. His mother has always been delulu and now she's crazy, without his older brother there's nothing good for him to come to and his mother almost tried to buried his love ren susu alive alongside qingyu.

It's sad that qingyu died but this is the turning pont in the story where it will lead qingyi to character growth. As he won't have an older brother to protect him from their family and those who make problem for him. Thus will lead him to mature and take on responsibility while training for 6 years in the military. Then come back to hold the position of the aviation school that his older brother left for him, he will carry on his brother's dreams and the Murong reputation.

I'm like, they are being mad at the wrong person. 🤦‍♀️ plus every character has their own reason for doing the things they do.

It's the turning point in the story, it's for character growth too.

The events were not predictable there's always a twist. I like it because it keeps me guessing and eager to watch.

If you are expecting overdo to be a romantic republican drama then it's not. Overdo is tragic and dark, it's for people who's mature and like dark theme. I like overdo eventhough it have tradegies.

But qingyi didn't die though. That's why his face is pale white but not grey. Have you seen dead people before? Dead people have pale greyish color. I think they did a good job on that make up effect.

Not everyone hating and blaming on Ren susu. 🤦‍♀️ yall must of forgot that it was qingyu's plan to hold the wedding in order to kill Mr. Li, then Ms. YE also volunteer to swapped places. If you want to be mad then be mad at that huo girl and Mr. Li and the zhang guy they orchestrated and use huo min to kill. Mr. Li and zhang family are the main culprit and they also killed qingyu/qingyi father, ren susu parents, the young master huo then place the blame on ren susu, they also killed Mr. Fang whom is ren susu adopted father and the father of her friend. They also drug qingyi and almost killed him as a child.
