I've came upon some comments and post stating that they lost interest, and don't like overdo because they don't understand the storyline and having many plot twist. 🤔 Everyone is different with the way how they see things and how it impacts their understanding of the story. Is the story that confusing or did people just missed some scenes or did they misinterpret some scenes while watching and it didn't connect the dots? I've watched overdo up til now and the story was easy to follow through with the flashback story telling too.

The wardrobe is top tier 👌 and that's because they also add a touch of modernism style to it, plus around those time weathy chinese traders are influence by the west clothing styles. I'd perfer these wardrobe over the old classical chinese clothes in other old drama that was filmed decades ago. If you want realism and old classical clothing style that sets place in republic era then you can go watch those other films.

Back then and even now, powerful family with backing and money can get away with crimes or get light sentences for their crimes. The system is corrupted and plus they don't use the american justice system, innocent until proven guilty. Anyways qingyi was innocent and Ren susu never meant to harm him but he just happened to get caught in the crossfire. The huo family is evil and corrupted they deserve it every bit.

🤦‍♀️ it was literally explained in the drama (you must of missed it while watching or you skipped it) of how and why he was put in jail 3 years ago. Did you know that back then and even now, powerful family background can influence and get them out of trouble or lighter sentences? The Huo family is evil, they embezzle money from the orphanage
and they traffick kids, and sex traffic women. Ren susu and many girls were kipnapped and thrown in the Huo devil orphanage where they were beaten antorture and starve, they were discipline to beg for money during charity events and all that money goes to the Huo pockets, They were made to perform show and at 17-18 they are auction off to rich perverts as sex slave. Ren susu super sick but the Huo master took a liking to her and she was chosen but her friend Fang mulan volunteer to take ren susu place because she love ren susu so much as a sisterhood. Ren susu and the rest of the girls escape the orphanage and she wanted to track and save their friend fang mulan, thats why ren susu wrote letters to houses with secret code, if fang mulan see it then they will know where to find and recue her. The letters that qingyi found in the mail are letters for fang mulan that ren susu sent and later on they keep exchanging letters. Ren susu been following the huo family but its hard to get inside their mansion when it's heavily guraded, and ren susu happen to meet qingyi outside of huo house, qingyi saw her and then she fell down. They kind of recognize each other through exchanging letters and qingyi also sent a picture of himself to ren susu too. Ren susu plan to leave after she recover from her injury but asfter staying with qingyi for 2 months she learns that qingyi have connections with the huo family and it will be easy to get into the huo house and save her friend fang mulan. After entering the huo house, she search around and found her friend fang mulan all tortured and locked up in a bedroom, her friend have so many wounds and she was beaten up and torture so bad that she kind of went crazy, she also just had a miscarriage and was bleeding heavily. Ren susu tried to take fang mulan away but the huo master came in, ren susu is so sick of how bad he treated fang mulan, he rape and made fang mulan a sex slave for years. Ren susu killed him on the spot, and took her friend away, but then they blame qingyi for their master huo death since it was qingyi who brought her there. Qingyi was innocent and didn't know what happened but after that ren susu went to the train station and met qingyi, there she plan to sacrifice herself from jumping off the train so that her other friend can take fang mulan body away, but qingyi stopped ren susu from jumping but then ren susu saw the huo body guard coming so she thought that if she made qingyi shoot her in front of the huo body guard they will witness and see that qingyi is innocent and not give him any problem. The huo family is powerful, they wanted to kill qingyi to make up for the death of their master huo, the only thing his older qingyu brother can do is had him go to jail for 3 years instead of be killed. The huo family was not to mistreat qingyi during those 3 years in prison but the huo went behind their back and beat, torture and cut his wrist tendon. Qingyi didn't tell anyone about his these things that they did to him. The Murong family is powerful and so does the Huo that's why qingyi went to prison for 3 years, if the person that was killed was a low class regualer citizen then qingyi won't go to jail as the Murong family can silence them or pay them.

People probably expect/assume this drama to be about 2 romantic lovers that love each other so much and were separated by war like the old classic typical storyline. I actually like overdo storyline and plot twist, something different.

Their character are at odds throughout most of the story so I understand the distance in their character but if talking about bts chemistry yes, they have good chemistry and get along very well. I watch the original behind the scenes and they were having so much fun acting out their parts.

Yeah I read that part too, because of the high dose of opium that they gave to qingyi he has horrible withdrawal and it also made him lost bits of his memory too.

I understand that everyone view things differently and everything is not everyone's cup of tea but I like overdo's dark theme and the storyline. I like the plot twist and can handle it. Looking forward to episode 20 🤗

His adopted father and the zhang family are the one involve in the death of their father Feng Murong, and are also the people who overdose qingyi as a child and thrown him into the water since he overheard of the plan but he was luckily saved by the young ren susu, that was also why ren susu parents were killed. I like the plot twist a lot I guess some people just can't handle all the plot twist.

It's a fictional drama lol and in dramas things doesn't make sense sometimes. If you want something real that makes more sense then watch movies that are based on true stories as it will be more logical.

Everyone have different taste and how they perceive things. That's why one can not really convince others to see what they see, eventhough we're watching the same drama. I like the plot and the flashbacks story telling. As for love, Ren susu was ready to accept qingyi's love but another plot twist happen and qingyu refuse to break off the engagement because he wanted power and use the death of Ren susu parents to have her kill qingyi adopted father. I like the plot twist but everyone can have their own opinion.

You're already half way in the drama ep 17. If you still feel disappointed then maybe this drama is not for you. This sets place during the republican era, where things are rough, it's more of a darker, revenge theme with a mixture of romance and humour. Some may like light drama with more romance but some perfer the darker drama with a touch of romance.

I like overdo of course I will watch and and be in the commnet section of overdo. But you? You claimed it yourself that you hate it, and so happy for the rate to drop, and also claim that you like to follow things that you dislike. Isn't that mental or what? Who the h*ll like to follow a drama that they hate plus keeping tabs on every update? Contradicting asf and sounds mental to me. 🤷‍♀️

These rating are not reiable as not everyone has anaccount to rate it on mdl, imdb, and viki. Imdb only have 134 people rating how does that truly reflect a drama?Most already know POJ have a big fan base and most of them still can't move on from POJ and being so toxic toward overdo and wang churan. But many people tune in to watch it, the number of views are increasing.

I've seen enough of POJ toxic shipper being rude and disrespectful toward wang churan. They need jesus and the holy water to cleanse their heart from hatred.
