This is so sad in the beginning episodes for the FL. All the lying. He is not respecting her and just keeps lying to pacify his mother. I am on the verge of dropping this.

I want to comment on this show as a grandmother. I extremely like it. I have grandkids that I see them going through the same emotions in relationships with their partners. They are going through a getting to know each other faze along with family problems. The FL character has had to shoulder the burden of worrying about other family members at her expense. When this happens especially with the oldest alot of times they cast their feelings aside of happiness and choose to be responsible for everyone else at their own expense. I feel this show is a growing up experience for those that finish watching it. The lesson is to try to grasp some happiness for yourself and not push away those that love you, share some of the burdens with others so they know what you are going through instead of keeping it in all the time. Then your not misunderstood.
