the scenes with Chadjen got me shedding some tears ngl. that was so sad, and very well acted especially by Mark (Chadjen). his sad facial expressions made ME sad 🥲
im still overwhelmed and filled with so many emotions after watching the finale, so i can't really form proper words to convey my feelings right now.
but what i can definitely say is that i will miss SaintShin and the rest of Class 2 students and homeroom teachers. they've been the only reason i look forward to the most dreaded day of the week aka Mondays. now i have no idea what to do with myself on Mondays anymore 🥲
thank you and well done to everyone involved in the making of High School Frenemy. this series, by far, is the best one i've watched in 2024 👏🏼
Sky (Saint) is probably the top3 best actors i've watched so far this year. he's so good at conveying his character's emotion both through his facial expressions (including micro-expressions) AND voice intonation. his acting is so flawless that it allows you be even more immersive in the story. i can't believe he doesn't have more series/movies lining up. i hope to see him having more acting gigs in the next GMMTV lineup announcement.
the moment they hugged each other at Money's birthday celebration, i just knew one of them would die 😭 my instinct was right. and i teared up twice in this movie. the first one during Abang's vulnerable talk with the monk in prison. and the second time when Abang asked Ah Di "can we do this (cracking eggs on each other's forehead) one last time?". it's too sad. probably the most depressing one i've watched this year.
Jump Pisitpol need to be cast in shows more often. he's such a good actor. by the end of the movie, every time he smiles my tears would just roll down my face lol.
ep1 and 2 were solid. but 3 and 4 are going down the goofy route and im not sure if i like that. i enjoyed all Jack/Joke scenes. it's the whole Hoy Tattoo shenanigans that i can't stand. and the whole shrine scene... the comedy is just not comedy-ing. it's too stupid for my liking. Hope and Save revelation is making me scratch my head too, but I'll reserve my judgement for now. on a brighter note, Toi Ting is such a good actor. so young but so talented.
that was a hopeful ending, imo. and i rather have that than straight out sad ending. im gonna miss these two, and the whole class A gang. i hope season 2 comes sooner than later 🥺
This couple is almost as Toxic as MingJoe, speaking of that i know know what to do with my next game
i personally don't mind the toxicity. it's fiction, so my moral is out of the window. my main complain is that this one is boring 😂 take MingJoe for example, they're toxic AND interesting to watch.
Eris (Elris? Elyes? how ever the heck you spelled it 😂) is rotten to the core. he's beyond saving at this point. and Patt needs to grow a stronger backbone asap. honestly im getting boring of the same repeating cat and mouse chase in this series. Eris makes a move on Patt, Patt rejects him, Eris gets upset and hooks up with someone else to make Patt jealous. rinse and repeat. give us something else come onnnnn.
it is so painfully slow and boring. the stiff robotic acting from everyone in the series isn't helping their case either. nor do i see any chemistry between MC and his friends. and since i haven't read the original source material, i can't be sure if it's the novel or just the drama's execution, but the story telling feels all over the place and incoherent. the combination of all these issues is making this unwatchable for me... im gonna give them another try and watch ep4 next week. if it doesn't get any better by then, i'll have to drop this one. which is a bummer. i thoroughly loved IFYLITA so i had high expectations for THM.
the title is so goofy so my expectations were on the floor. but surprisingly enough i actually quite enjoyed the first episode. Eris' acting is kinda meh at the start of the episode, but once his character stops doing that arrogant mean boss facade, his acting feels alot better and somewhat more natural. so that's good, i can see his potential. as for Patt, i think he's doing nice so far. i caught him not keeping eye contact when speaking to co-star sometimes, staring at his nose/cheeks etc instead.
overall though, episode 1 was decent enough to get me to root for the next episode.
