It's definitely on my list to watch. Plus, I love the male lead. I fully agree about the directors. Too many of…
i get that. For instance, despite playing childish roles more than once, I happen to like Dilraba. But I didn't like her after seeing her acting the first time. I liked her after seeing her a second time, but in that drama I didn't particularly like another actress, and later I came to like her acting. So, direction clearly had something to do with it, as did the experience of the actress or the lack thereof...
Do watch Tan Song Yun in Sword and Brocade. There's not a single instance of being childish there. I also dislike that sort of interpretation of a female character, but it might be a director's request at times. I think you'll enjoy that drama.
I'm jealous for people jumping into this show for the first time. It's just so good. :') If you're on the fence…

- I'm reading the novel again, and I'm going to post some interesting points but without spoilers about things…
can you just imagine a baby entering a vigorous debate about the merits of the name about to be bestowed upon him? if such a thing were possible, Fan Xian would be the one to accomplish it🤣
i learned from before that if i ever watch a drama that i end up liking, i shouldn't go for its novel. 70% of…
If I like the drama and there's a novel (and I have time), I read it. I actually find the differences fascinating. I've done so for Princess Agents since by the time I watched it, there were rumours there wouldn't be a 2nd season... so my curiosity was killing me, given the cliffhanger. I've done the same for Joy of Life
