I think it's because all this time, they were only"LDR" because of the community quarantine. Had there been no ECQ, they would probably try to see each other everyday. Moving to Bukidnon is a big deal because it's not like you can go visit them there anytime you want. Sure they can continue video calling each other and making things work, but it's different when you have the luxury of spontaneously going to your special someone whenever you miss each other.
