Mr. Butterly, this is the reason why the world is such a wonderful place: I loved every second of its 18.900 or so seconds. One of the best movies I've ever seen.
It would indeed be quite boring if we all viewed the same things in the same way...

If there truly are 7 characters better than Takahata Mitsuki as Toto nee-chan, I really, really look forward to seeing them.
Ama-chan was fun and really likeable but Takahata totally owned her role and had me deeply moved EVERY single episode for all 156 of them. Great story and great cast too.
