Well, if you don't like it, don't force yourself. I have watched some episodes several times. And after watching…
I think Gelboys is a more character driven show rather than a lot of action/mafia/supernatural shows which are more plot driven. I think different people will be drawn to character driven and plot driven shows. I think plot driven shows don't develop the romance too well - it's less realistic and more high stakes. It's going to be faster paced but not necessarily very in depth. Character driven shows will be slower, a bit more grounded in the romance department and go into emotions a bit more in depth.
It's great that we live in a time where both kinds are readily available!
He is neglected at home. Chian fed him with attention as his best friend and supported him in his other attention…
I also understand Chian. He doesn't want to commit to Fou5Moud while he is still hung up on Bua. It's not fair on Fou4Moud. They are all flawed in some way and Chian is no exception, so the way he is constantly leaving Fou4Moud on the hook for years is not nice of him and he himself is aware of that, but he is also fond of Fou4Moud and doesn't want to part with him. He just needed closure on his crush on Bua and it took too long to get it. It's hard to be in love with your best friend who is not interested in you in that way.
Fou4Moud and Baabin aren't flawless either. Fou4Moud also used Baabin to play games with Chian. Baabin actively thought of ways to try to break Chian and Fou4Moud apart even though deep down he had a feeling Fou4Moud didn't like him. They're just teenagers who make mistakes and that's the beauty of this show.
If Bua doesn't like Chian, why is he so possessive of him? I'm so confused
He is neglected at home. Chian fed him with attention as his best friend and supported him in his other attention getting venture (the tiktok dances). When he started feeling that he was losing Chian and the attention from Tiktok, he tried to do anything to keep him, even trying to do what he thought Chian wanted.
The sad ending was kind of expected based on the editing choices of episode 18 and the title, but I do think a car accident and a time skip = a lot of lazy writing. Wayne acted the scenes out brilliantly and I loved the closure SB and ZG had in the final episodes. I found the doppelganger somewhat unecessary (also kind of bad writing), but I do agree with a comment I saw below that if the show had started with the death of YXG and the whole series were a flashback, it would have been much better.
