'Makjang' dramas are those dramas that have over-the-top and melodramatic plotlines, highly exaggerated storylines, often extended family drama and so on. Generally, in Korea, these types of dramas consist of 50 (1 hr.) / 120 (30 min.) episodes. There are some pretty good makjang dramas out there.

I watched 'Silent' (J-drama) few months ago, where the male lead was not born deaf but later became deaf. In that series, they also showed that he was not willing to speak. This made me curious about why they do not want to talk after becoming deaf, so I looked it up, and here's what I found—

Auditory feedback is an important component of speech production, helping individuals monitor and adjust their speech in real-time. Without this feedback, it can be challenging to maintain clear and accurate speech. (There were many reasons but this one stood out to me the most.)

Okay MDL fam. Can someone tell me WHY did they adopt her?

Actually, it made more sense in the webtoon because, in the webtoon, her adoptive father was married to another woman who adopted the FL. Then, she died, and after that, the father brought in the current evil mom. So, they just removed that whole plot to fit the 12-episode length, it seems. BTW this is not a spoiler, so don't worry.
I don't like FL's behavior in this episode.. she is so selfish
But we can't blame her. I mean, from her perspective, she only has one year to live and get revenge on her family. So, she will obviously put herself first.
Yeah. The webtoon has not finished yet, but in Korea, it has already concluded, and I have read on some website forums that it has a happy ending. Even though only 117 chapters have been published internationally, their 'death' date has already been shown, and the story continues beyond that date as well. So I am sure it will have a happy ending.
Wish I could watch this masterpiece again for the first time.
