Haha, agree! It's a bit of a stretch to call a 16eps drama a "mini" series in my book as well. It's certainly longer than what I typically associate with mini-series. 😄

Wait, you didn't know about makjang dramas!? You should definitely give them a try, there are some very good makjang dramas out there.

In Korea 16 eps series is called mini series because the standard length of the series that airs on Korean TV is— 50 eps (1hr.) / 120 eps (30 mins.) with telecast period of almost 6 months. They are called 'Makjang' dramas.

So ML thinks that they both live in a very diffrent world and that he is holding her down, so he proposes break up. Then he goes to serve in military while FL continues her life as an idol. Then they meet at a reunion party of the 'share house'. After that FL asks him if he have any regret breaking up with her, ML answers "I regret it." (the conversation is long tho) and they hug. After that there is a time skip, now we are in year 2027— They both brush past each other and in the last scene FL turns back. The End.

To be completely honest, I still would have preferred that ending over the one in the drama because it at least gives closure. But here they just left us hanging in the air.

Given that it's a K-drama, it's unlikely we'll have a second season, so why opt for an open ending in the first place? That's what confuses me. I was all prepared for a sad ending, but they went with an open one?! Seriously?!

You know a drama is one-of-a-kind when they have already remade the show in three different countries within the span of only 3 years.

First of all I haven't read the webtoon so I don't know anything about this, so correct me if I am wrong— but judging from the synopsis from the Viki website, after the car accident only ML's body get possessed by Do Ha's soul while FL is not possessed by Han Ri Ta's soul.
May be FL just looks like Do Ha's wife who killed him?
The MDL description is so confusing. I have submitted edit with the Viki synopsis, which is so easy to understand.
