I see that female-centric dramas are a thing now, and people are raving about them. it’s ok. I just want to know what to expect so I don't waste my time.

As I understand it, the novel has an HE, so I don’t think they kill him. But I don’t think he will appear for more than a minute in future episodes. I will probably drop it soon, bc I’m already tired of this family melodrama.
i think Yan An is doing really well for a story that is and needs to be focused on the women. His popularity has…
Yan An will be fine for sure, but I want to se his character. Not only that family drama around FL, bc it’s starting to get boring; I fast-forwarded the whole ep 15 :(

Yeah, I’m pretty sure this drama is good for Yan An’s career. I just feel that I was tricked. I expected something completely different from this drama. It was really heavily promoted as a romance first, and now we have almost no romance but an FL story, when the ML is just one of many in the crowd :(
This series is all about women so I can understand but at least we get to see him in beautiful outfits and looking…
I completely understand that it's a women-focused drama, but it's still a romance drama, and when it's too imbalanced, it’s not good. When ML is treated like a prop, romance struggles.
This is much better than Road to Splendor, Road to Splendor was suffering upon suffering, and much more politics…
Disagreed. Road to Splendor is beautifully written; every character has depth, and the romance is there. A lot of romance. For me, it's one of the best dramas of the year, and it's hard to compare its directing, writing, or cinematography to anything else.
WTME is very entertaining, and both leads are drool-worthy, but c'mon, it’s far from perfect. I'm not a fan of Against the Current, but it deserves an 8.8; WTME simply isn't an 8.7.
This level is simply unbelievable. If she is that crazy, her family would have found out in 20 years, or however old she is. She is a real reputational danger to her family; they would have sent her to a nunnery or to some relatives long ago. No one would risk that much.
Why is Wei Rao portrayed as so one-dimensional? Well, she is a villain, but the world is not black and white. Unfortunately, this character has no personality or depth; she only screams, slaps people, and destroys furniture. No backstory for why she is like this. No other side to her character except that she's an unhinged psycho. Nothing else. Every time she's on screen, she tries to kill someone. The laziest-written villain I've ever seen.
Unfortunately, such a disappointment :( Major short-drama vibe. The characters lack depth, and there are already a lot of plot holes. Direction and editing are really bad.
I hoped this director improved after ruining Ashes to Crown, but no- same style. Gorgeous picture, interesting story, but very one-dimensional.
Am I the only one who thinks it’s slow? I don’t know why, but I expected fast pacing. Maybe it’s the music. I don’t understand what's off because, on paper, everything is amazing, but I can’t start investing, and the drama can’t keep me interested. I waited so long for this drama and now don’t know what to think.
Amazing direction, pacing, story opening, actors, and backdrops! wow!
