I don't think either Jong hee or Yeong rye could be hated for everything that's happened so far? If anything, its the writers fault for making this drama on female friendships unfair where Yeong rye is receiving everyone's love and is super lucky and Jong hee is getting the short end of the stick every time. It's just frustrating to watch it happen. I also want to point out that they were BOTH great friends towards each other when they were bus attendants, they both looked out for each other and made small sacrifices for each other (please rewatch the eps at the beginning if you disagree because huh??). Jong hee just ended up making bigger (and maybe unnecessary) sacrifices that hurt her and their friendship in the long run.
For yeong rye, since you all love to hate her right now, is it her fault that jong hee broke up with jaepil? no, jong hee chose to sacrifice her love life ALL on her own without discussing it with either yeong rye or jaepil and she probably did it to save her friendship or make yeong rye feel better. that's nice of her but it definitely sets herself up for resentment later. and this was definitely a difficult choice because she had to choose between love and friendship, risking her close friendship if she chose love. HOWEVER, there was also the fountain pen stabbing incident. is it yeong rye's fault that jong hee chose to stab the bus director while he was harassing yeong rye? no, jong hee made an extreme decision when encountering the incident, maybe due to her past trauma. i personally think there were numerous other ways of handling that which would've ended better for her and the ppl around her (wake others up, call the police, grab yeong rye and run), but she decided to sacrifice herself again. this was the biggest turning point in the show because if she didn't stab someone and run, she'd still have her old friends, her job, etc. However, I'm also surprised that after being adopted by that sorry excuse of a mother and its been YEARS, she hasn't built a career, friendships, relationships, etc. Is her stepmom that strict? Is she that sheltered? Is she waiting to meet the people from her past?
I also agree that the drama makes it seem like Yeong rye is winning everything effortlessly. She somehow won Miss Seoul even though she has traits that would bring her down (clumsy, awkward, lacks confidence at times) and Jong hee who's been waiting for this moment, and is an ideal candidate, gets runner up. And then like a true kdrama, people from her past keep chasing her down for money or revenge. Even showing up inside the Miss Korea pageant show (where's security)...
However, Yeongrye and Jaepil being together make sense since they've been friends for so long and have become comfortable with each other. Idk why people are complaining about that one.
for all the immature fans of the original giving a low rating on purpose, this won't stop this drama from being…
well, it seems like this one is flopping so far even if a lot of ppl watch it. its also helping promote the OG taiwanese one and making it look better. pretty xenophobic and koreaboo-ish of you to say those things.
junyoung and her parents are the worst. they make it seem like taejun is adopted (even adopted parents wouldn't be like this). jy acts like the world revolves around her and her parents have encouraged this toxic behaviour!! taejun literally needs to run away from them??
Guys, Question !!!!!Why do Park TaeJoon and Yuk Jung Hwan don't like each other, it doesn't look like both know…
I'm pretty sure it was cause junghwan was bullying the FL (taeyang) so taejun automatically defended her and went against him. but if they didn't like each other before that then idk.
i'm being a bit forgetful... is the guy who is flirting and texting the reporter lady kipeum also the same guy who cut his hair at the filming scene and wore a cap? or is it a different guy, and then who is he cause i dont remember him lol
I don't normally like tsundere characters who get angry whenever they have a feeling but I'm loving it here? I…
SAME. I was thinking normally I wouldn't like dramatic tsundere characters but Youngdae somehow pulls it off so well. He's still very charismatic in a fun goofy way.
Also, the restaurant guy is Seunghyub. He's the leader from the band N.Flying! I was shocked to see him here.
