particularly the part where you said the games seemed like there was something lacking, i felt the same way, i…
same! the thing I was looking most forward to was the games tbh, i expected them to be as good (if not better) than the first season but they were honestly kinda boring…..i don’t wanna be too harsh though bc i think it was intentional since the games this season were produced by past players/citizens of borderland, so perhaps they were easy on purpose. but still, it would’ve been nice to feel the thrill I felt while watching the season one games. :/
I’m done and the games this season were definitely not as engaging as the first season’s, but that’s understandable since this season focused more on the meaning of life and such. I liked that everything was explained, at least to some degree bc I do feel like the ending is a bit open ended? either way it was alright.
this is the only drama i’ve seen get rated 9+ stars and never lose it…..I’ve been meaning to watch this for years but i just havent i think 2023 is the year I finally watch
My main problem with this drama is there was never a sense of like worry or that our protagonists were ever even…
that’s actually what i liked about it? saeguks suffer from having too much chaos and putting the main characters through a lot so it was nice to watch one where the good people always won
very different from the webtoon but for the better! it gave depth and development to important characters that the webtoon failed to give. it also set up the drama for s2 which will focus the main plot in the webtoon, super excited to see the second season.
i had chills throughout the last scene of episode three, it was seriously one of the most beautiful scenes i've ever seen in a kdrama. the way prince gyeseong's story was presented was amazing; they showed who gyeseong truly is but didn't forget the limits imposed in the time period the drama is set in. even so, they didn't take the transphobic route of the queen forcing gyeseong to be forget who they see themselves as, but rather showed that a true mother will do whatever is within their limits to make their child happy. something as a simple painting made gyeseong feel accepted and loved. it was heartwarming to see a mother from an era where being transgender was no where near "acceptable" embrace her child's identity with so much love and understanding. episode three is a kdrama episode that i will remember forever <3
the fact that this has a 7.5 rating makes me so upset..... if you're considering watching this drama but are put off by the rating PLEASE just watch it. do not trust the rating, this is the best ongoing drama out rn and could very well turn out to be one of the best saeguks ever created
I love this drama so far, glad to see a saeguk that doesn’t paint the Queen as purely evil and actually shows us the hardships that come with the position
i LOVED this drama, the cast and crew created something beautiful with the limited resources they had wow props to them. i will now go watch everything the main leads have acted in :D
