What absolute junk. What a travesty these characters of ALP became. To many here just like romance r the actress…
as much as i love ALP, I don't think it will be possible for the drama to follow the backstory as ALP. It will be too much backstory to cover in 40 episodes
Do you guys recommend watching? Spoilers about the end?
Highly recommend watching this. It is a well made drama overall. The early part, before ep 13 might be slower but once the main story started, it keeps on getting better until you reach the end.
It is a happy ending. Not sure how much spoiler is a spoiler for you, but if you don't mind, you can youtube Ancient Love Poetry ending. There's a clip of the ending which may make you want to watch the drama especially if you are like me who usually wabts to know the ending before i backtrack to the story.
Does this drama have any relationship with one and only? Do I need to watch one and only in order to watch Forever…
I'm watching Forever and Ever without watching One and Only first but I've read the summary. So far I can go through Forever n Ever without problem. But maybe if you don't know the story from one and only, it is quite baffling how the fl is so into the ml.
Are there a lot misunderstandings between the characters where I need to prepare myself for? Like i've heart that…
I will not consider those as misunderstanding. It is part of the plot and very much needed. So I would say there's no unnecessary misunderstanding.
And it is not Qing Mu who marry someone else. It is Bai Jue, but the marriage did not go through anyway and the the lady is aware that Bai Jue does not love her. It is just to distract everyone from Bai Jue's actual plan. I hope the spoiler is OK with you... Haha
I have a question to someone whose interested in Wuxia dramas. Can You explain to me how time works in imortals/gods…
I think the years is just to put a perspective of timeline for us reader/viewer. I consider the 60 000 years in equivalent to 60 000 years mortal world. But this is just a snippet of the immortal life anyway. Their life continues for eternity.
For example, their kid is 100 years old but visually for us the kid is around 10 years old mortal
I have watched both. I personally prefer ALP. I like Long ballad better for the earlier episodes, then after half way, the story does not really make sense for me. Manage to still finish it for the sake of having a closure. Whereas ALP is really slow in building up, but each scene has a purpose and everything ties together towards the end. For me, that's when you will really appreciate the earlier episode and its build up. The pacing is actually quite weird, it is slow in building up the story but the story moves quite fast, it has a lot of time leaps without side stories. Hence why I think some people find it hard to enjoy it.
I want to ask if this drama1. Happy ending?2. Can be considered heavy with lots of conflicts and misunderstanding…
1. Happy ending 2. The relationship between the ML and FL is sweet. But the situation they are in makes the story angst. No unnecessary conflict and misunderstandings. Be prepared with tissue while watching some of the episodes though
Finished it for the 2nd time yesterday. Like the 1st time AGAIN I CAN'T START ANY OTHER DRAMA UGHHHHHHH im getting…
I've rewatched it 2 times. Only able to move on after I start drama of different genre and feel. If I watch other romance or xianxia, will come back to ALP after a few episodes
Y’all when does this pick up? I’m on episode 4 and it just seems boring. I can’t feel the chemistry between…
It started to pick up after ep 10 for me. The main story starts in ep 13 or so.
As for the chemistry, at least for the 1st arc, I personally think it might have been intended to be that way because in one of the episode when the leads went for a "date", someone even commented that they do not look like a couple but sibling. To understand their attraction and relationship, you have to pay attention to their inner monologues. Both of them are not familiar with non-platonic love and how to express it.
