OMG THANK YOU YOU ARE A LIFE SAVER!!!!!!! I didn't care about watching it unsubbed, but I just couldn't find it anywhere. How did you find this link? Will it be the same next week?
hmmm....I actually see her character as more of a victim of circumstances. Ep. 12, flashback, she relied on HJ…
Also agree on this! I don't dislike Jae Joon either. Just really want him to seek help, sigh.
ALTHOUGH, I've been D Y I N G over Geun Young and Hoo Joon's relationship development. They're sooooo cute together and there's so much symbolism centered around their relationship, I DIE.

Nooooo don't apologise for your long reply!! I really appreciate being able to have discussions like this cuz i'm watching it on my own and am DYING to discuss thoughts with people heehee.
Anw, that's the thing. I feel like the timeline doesn't make a lot of sense, because when Jae Joon first kissed In Hyung and when Hoo Joon found out about their relationship, that was during Florence's debut congratulatory party, wasn't it? I remember Jae Joon did a toast to congratulate In Hyung on debuting, which means at the time, she and Jae Joon haven't left the company yet, and therefore Jae Joon hasn't started his own company yet. Which also means that In Hyung chose to be with Jae Joon even before leaving the company.
So then why?
Like I just feel like there's a gap in the story that they haven't yet revealed to us, and I really want to see In Hyung's perspective on this.

@alfyhappy This is the most mature and neutral analysis of the Jae Joon - In Hyung - Hoo Joon happenstance I've seen, and I completely agree with you. While I don't agree with any of their choices, I do feel like In Hyung is a victim. Her reactions are very telling of what victims go through. The thing is people don't sympathise with In Hyung because they were just dropped in the middle of her trauma, where she has already learnt that she is stuck and can't get out of her plight for SIX YEARS. She was manipulated into thinking that she was being protected and loved because Jae Joon was essentially the person who took her in, gave her a place to live, and the illusion of hope that she was going to move somewhere in her career. This looks like spinelessness, but no, it is evidence of Learnt Helplessness. We do see her growth - from denial that Jae Joon was not manipulative and still loves her, to learning to stand up for herself in small ways by going behind his back (even the song leak, while thoughtless, I see as her dramatic cry for help), to finally epiphany, when Hoo Joon tells her that she used to be able to speak her mind. I think it made her take back some of her power and realise that she can change her life if she wanted to, which is why she's finally able to walk away. I agree with you in that I hope she does finally get to walk away from Jae Joon and finally have her own career, one that is apart from a scandal being tangled up in romantic connections with Hoo Joon, or one that is the thing that Jae Joon keeps threatening to reveal to the public that he keeps hanging over their heads.
On the other hand, Jae Joon is so trapped in his idea of Hoo Joon's supposed betrayal that he lives his life centered around ruining Hoo Joon and taking everything that belongs to him. I do believe he genuinely had feelings for In Hyung. But when Hoo Joon left, thinking that he picked the choice that would ultimately make all three of them happy, I think Jae Joon believed that he's never really had In Hyung and that she chose him not because she really liked him, but because he was the second choice. I think that's what has driven him mad over the years, because he blames all of his failures of Hoo Joon, blames it on his betrayal, blames him for leaving. He never once believed that In Hyung loved him, and that idea that you're in a relationship with someone who will never love you does things to people.
What I don't understand is why In Hyung chose Jae Joon when she so obviously only had eyes for Hoo Joon in the flashbacks. Of course, they were all flashbacks through Jae Joon's eyes, so they will be very one-side in their perspective. But what I really want to see is the gap between In Hyung's pining for Hoo Joon to her choosing Jae Joon. What made her choose him?
And fine, let's say she really did choose to leave with Jae Joon because Hoo Joon always wasn't around. Then why choose to BE in a relationship with Jae Joon when she so clearly was smitten by Hoo Joon? She could've just upped and left and remained friends with Jae Joon instead of agreeing to be his girlfriend.
I don’t know why there’s so much hate on this drama. I think it’s perfect that it’s a fluffy romcom with no major drama because honestly dramas these days have too much drama (pun unintended) - I can’t catch a break. Though I do suspect, and I hope I’m wrong, that there might be drama later on. Especially when we find out what happened with his mum and possibly Jae Joon getting closer to Geun Young. Please don’t let it become a love triangle PLEASE. Unless it's one that Hoo Joon THINKS that there's something going on, in which case, BRING IT because I would LOVE to see a jealous Hoo Joon heehee.
Also LOVE that it’s such a slow burn. You can see the main leads slowly warming up and gravitating towards each other despite still squabbling all the time - if the increase in looks at each other is any indication. Seriously, just watch episode 6. It’s my favourite to date, cuz you can tell they’re starting to be conscious of each other while still struggling through their misunderstanding of each other. I actually love how he’s so unafraid to fight her and tease her, because like manager hyung says, he’s only doing that cuz he’s comfortable around her and he needs someone he can loosen up and be himself around. It’s extremely obvious to this point that despite his success, he is extremely lonely though loyal.
I can’t wait to see how this develops, and wouldn’t mind it if they take their time to know each other and fall in love. I think it’s way more realistic and cute that way.
Everyone's talking about a Season 2. May I know if this ends on a cliffhanger? (P.S. please mark your comment as a spoiler when you reply for those who don't want to know, thanks!)
the slow creeping shock and horror when you realise that the reason why the man no longer has a child was because he fed it to his zombie wife to keep her alive omg
