I disagree, I thought the ending was beautiful! Although the couples didn't get remarried but everyone ended on…
This. This show really showed the busy lives of couples in this day and age and what it takes to have ambition. It's also why many do not want to have kids or do not have successful marriages. The show only shows maybe a tenth of the stress and agony of real life. I too thought the ending was perfect. Is marriage just that piece of paper or is it something physical, mental and continuous beyond just legality?
I feel like a lot of commenters did not watch until the end or are still young and didn't understand the intricate details and emotions. This drama leans more on the mature and realistic (as realistic as an Asian drama can be) side and had a very satisfying ending. I originally dropped it because of the comments here but continued on and am very happy that I did. Sure it wasn't perfect but I found it multi-dimensional and it never had me bored. People are exaggerating about the FL, although the 2ML was quite detestable. Was not a fan of the ML's personality initially.
Watch all the way and reflect on the characters' journeys then form an opinion. I've never commented on mydramalist but thought I had to here to do this show some justice.
Edit: I wonder if people are just reading subtitles and don't understand Chinese? This is a drama where a lot is lost if you don't know Chinese. The subtitles on YouTube are so bad.
