Try School 2017, you might like it more. I felt like this version was a bit more scattered and stale than 2017…
I, in fact, watched school 2017 and liked it a lot. Totally agree with you, if someone feels the same way about this one and is looking for another school drama, check out S2017.
I really don't know you think so low of this show... I guess, it comes to different preferences... But to me,…
I studied computer science and worked in the field for quite some time. Personally, I began to ignore everything that has to do with computer science and view it as fiction, otherwise I wouldn't be able to watch most of the tv show out there. My point? Get used to it and don't expect show to be accurate and just enjoy them as they are.
I did like the romance, the comedy, the chemistry /acting and the ost in this show. The story is nothing too spectacular and there are quite a few similar dramas out there. Every time the author wanted something to happen another miraculous coincidence happened and logic as well as realism wasn't always taken to serious. To sum it up, a good watch if you want a nice romance, a few good comedy scenes and a decent story. However, if you are mainly looking for a good investigation/ law tv show this isn't it.
Probably a good drama if you turn off your brain. Decide for either historical tragedy or unrealistic action, don't do both. This drama is not realistic but pretends to be and that is what annoyed me the most. On top of that bad main character that don't make sense. I am surprised I managed to not drop it until episode 25... However, the music and acting itself was great, but that can't salvage a bad script.
Dropped it after Ep. 5. If this would have been my first school drama, I might have enjoyed it. Sadly, I love school dramas and watched a lot of them and hence my expectations rise in relation to them. Although the cast consists of 2 of my favorite actors, I couldn't stand the story and the characters, it simply felt too predictable and stale. Jang Na Ra and Lee Jong Suk in one drama and I can't stand the story, I am devastated now...
I dropped it after ep 10. I can't really say why, but I would have had to force myself to watch it any further. If this happens, I always decide to drop a drama. It wasn't awful but not good enough to hook me.
EDIT: Main reason is probably that I couldn't warm up to the "main" couple from a story POV. Another reason was that I don't like the face of either of them, this combination made it hard to watch for me I guess.
I'm the extreme minority here but I found it boring. Like at first it was interesting and enjoyable but then…
I dropped it after episode 11. The plot was interesting at the beginning, but after ~5 episodes it started to get more and more annoying, mainly because it was dragged out too much and I couldn't relate to the characters and their decisions anymore. Reading now that the ending isn't great, I am happy that I decided to drop it...
Pretty much as written in one of the reviews, the story consisted of to many different genres and was overall not that good IMHO. If it wouldn't have been for everything else and especially for the cast and their good acting/ chemisty, I would have given it way less than an 8. To be a little bit more specific, they should have left out the investigation and thriller part. It didn't fit with the rest and had horrible flaws in terms of execution and logic.
this drama in not worth more than 7. even the messed up cheese in the trap is way better than this. if this nothing…
Well 7% of the people that rated this drama thought the same. However, 41% thought it deserves a 10 (me included). I keep repeating this but a rating is pretty subjective and bound to differ between individuals. Instead of ranting, you should consider telling us what you didn't like about it, so that we can at least try to understand your point of view. ;)
I'm only at episode 4 but I don't like it at all should I drop it or is it going to get better?
I would personally recommend to drop it. The drama was really good in my opinion, but it drags a little bit toward the end and I don't think your opinion will change, if you didn't like it up to this point.
Started this approximately 2 months ago and couldn't force myself to watch it any longer after 10 episodes. I didn't like the whole angle thing, which is a core element. The worst thing is a plot that evolves around stupidity and that is exactly what happened here in my opinion. I originally thought I might get the urge to pick it up again, but watched school 2017 instead which I totally enjoyed. This leads me to the conclusion that I still like school dramas, but this one just wasn't the right one for me.
I did enjoy this one quite a lot. It is nothing special, just your typical school drama as well as the typical story elements you would expect (You know what I am talking about, if you watched similar dramas.) I especially liked the romance elements, chemistry and the cast overall. In case you enjoy stories like that, I would totally recommend watching it!
There were some minor things but then towards the end Ye Hua was suddenly able to wield his sword as if he never lost his arm. From this point on I was just waiting for them to cut the crap and show the happy ending. This happens quite often in dramas, they take to much turns and at some point I stop caring and just think "wow here we go again.."
A top drama, too bad they had to unnecessarily stretch the ending, would have been a 10 otherwise.
In the mood for a school drama right now, stumbled across this one again and just remembered how underrated it is in my opinion. I did like it soooo much, sadly a bit short..
But seeing this always reminds me not to take ratings to seriously and to focus on setting, genre, cast and plot summary instead.
I'll try to highlight some key points i found good or bad.
Negative:
- It didn't really move me considering it being a melodrama.
- I disliked the personality of Kyeongs mother and Tae Jin to a point that I felt like skipping some scenes.
- Some character decisions and behavior patterns just didn't make sense to me.
- It was a bit hard for me to relate to the whole plot around marriage, probably because of cultural difference and my point of view that marriage is merely tax reduction.
Positive:
- I think the acting was really good especially Hyun Jin's.
- The kissing scenes were extremely good. Did they kiss for real or fake it because it sure looked real?
- I did dislike the story a bit towards the middle but they summed everything up well at the end.
am I the only one that thinks the "just Oh Hae Yeong" is prettier than the "pretty Oh Hae Yeong"?…
Hm I think in terms of sex appeal the pretty one was indeed better looking and in combination with the character backgrounds considered prettier. The "normal" OHY is objectively not as attractive IMHO but her whole character was more attractive as a whole. The most important part of a woman's body is the face for me and the "normal" OHY face and facial expressions really enchanted me. Hence I can understand why someone might think the pretty OHY wasn't really prettier. It pains me a bit but I have to sum it up with one simple word once again: "subjective."
I think the drama had a bit too much turning points and it felt a bit too long towards the end. I would have preferred, if they had made the story a bit more detailed and shorter in terms of dramatic events.
But overall a really good drama with an original story line and the reason I'd recommend to give it a shot, if you didn't already.
I feel so so for this drama.Really don't understand why got high rate.
Well on a serious note, I just recently finished this drama and the story is way to predictable, especially if you watched something like healer before. I did know how it is going to end after the first ~2 episodes and the romance progressed exactly as I thought. BUT the acting was top notch IMHO as well as decent music and one a part of the reason I rated it rather high.
Depends on taste at the end of the day. I personally enjoy romance settings even if predictable and cliche.
The only thing i really disliked was the whole triangle or rather quadrangle? Why even have a love triangle if the end of it is obvious from the beginning, but Korean story writer seem almost unable to refrain from it...
