Thanks for sharing this article. Nam Joohyuk is definitely a perfect package for an actor with his equally good visuals and good acting skills. Happy also that he received many recognitions for his acting and personally, I've been seeing so many positive feedbacks from his performance on Twenty Five Twenty One so far. He deserve all the love.
Can't wait for ep 3. It's literally the only drama I'm finding intersting that is on air right now. The first…
Same, tried watching other ongoing dramas but this drama is the one I find interesting the most. Hope the drama continues to be a good watch until the end.
I love this article because I can totally relate (even though I quite disagree with your list but it's the thought that counts lol). I am not really hooked to the current kdrama trends right now. Special mention: Goblin, Legend of the Blue Sea, and now, Strong Woman Do Bong Soon. And the other popular dramas like Moonlight Drawn By the Clouds, You Who Came from the Stars, and many more.
I'm quite sad because I hate dropping the dramas I watch especially if the lead actors are my favorites. :(
I had watch over a hundred dramas in my entire journey in dramaland but Reply 1997 and Misaeng are still the kind of dramas that what I would call as "the drama of my life." They simply reflect how I live my life right now: a Kdrama fangirl who is currently looking for her own place in the real world. I also believe they are the ones that have taught me that the most important thing that dramas should have is a story full of heart and soul along side with great visuals and feel-good atmosphere.
Nice article! :) I dropped all the dramas you have mentioned except Nice Guy even though they have all my Kdrama crushes on it(hello Lee Min Ho, Gong Yoo, Park Yoochun, Yoo Seung Ho!). Maybe for me, it's not really enough to have beautiful actors/actress or gorgeous camera or cinematography in one drama to satisfy my kdrama addiction.
I believe the true formula for creating a good drama is: Actors really good in acting (it's not enough to have a good looks; talent is really the key towards success) + Good written story (for me, I don't care if one drama's plot is cliche; the important thing is how the writer executes it) + Good Production (Good directing skills, cinematography at best, good choice of music aka OST).
