i haven't watched in a while but wanted to catch up, is there any news of a replacement or will they go on for…
ah okay i see. well, hopefully the eps are still fun and they can find a replacement soon. the non even teams just doesn't work well on the show usually lol thank you for letting me know!
This show is cursed really... I was starting to really enjoy Jo Seho on the show :/
i haven't watched in a while but wanted to catch up, is there any news of a replacement or will they go on for 5 for a while like they did earlier on (before yoo seonho joined iirc)?
i have loved lee won jung every time i see him in a drama so i wanted to watch this one.. is it worth it to watch for him? i do like some of the other actors too but these comments have me thinking it's not worth to watch at all lol
yes! i am starting episode four now (had to take a break for work related things) but it's so enjoyable. i have been unimpressed with a lot of dramas lately and this is exactly what i needed :) i will be binging over the next few days
i don't usually comment when i start shows, but this sounds perfect for me based on a few comments i read lol. 9 times out of 10 someone describes a show using "wholesome" i will be there. i'm starting it right now i'm so excited!
so, mone says she wants dohyuk for protection like matthew protects ra hee, but i wonder if it isn't more than that? my predicition is mone somehow figured out dohyuk was the real son and wants to have him in her control bc she can use it against K. letting dohyuk go after the chairman with the club wouldn't affect her, but maybe she realized then that he would be much more useful on her side. don't interfere and let dohyuk injure (or worse) his father who he's never met, or do what she did and play into his pity after. if everyone finds out dohyuk is the real heir, having him love her or be in her debt would be much more beneficial than getting rid of the chairman. dohyuk being on her side is protection against K, because she could tell the chairman the truth at any time and i imagine K would lose a lot of his power. i definitely could be reading into this too much, but mone is very manipulative and i doubt she would think dohyuk is powerful enough to protect her unless she knows he is the heir. yang jin mo has his own stuff going on with madam noh and hanna, but i would assume even he has more power than dohyuk does right now.. like mone said, isn't he basically just a thug? i think dohyuk was trying to repay mone for what she did by bringing her to the restaurant where her mom works. i don't think he did anything that out of character yet, him stepping in to threaten and record that guy to me seemed more like it had to do with mone's mom than mone herself. i am just worried that him being so naive and acting before he thinks most of the time will lead to him getting hurt again.. and i don't want him to be touched by mone saving him, or her because of what he did with her mom. i usually am all for romance, but i am not feeling this storyline. i don't know how he could be using her when she is the one saving him, so he's either being tricked or this is an incredibly unnecessary love line. i don't want either!! lol but i will watch so long as lee joon is still in the show, no matter how much i am confused by what is going on.
oh my gosh!! i just realized lee jung eun and lee sang hee were both in a piece of your mind!! seeing them sitting having a drink next to each other suddenly made me remember the scene they did the same in that show .. <3
i'll watch anything for lee joon is what this drama is teaching me. but it's fine, at this point i'm enjoying the more theatrical aspects of it + i think dohyuk is one of the most interesting characters. i'm just surprised that i noticed K as soon i watched the scene the first time around.. and they didn't show in the show that he was also a prison guard when lee hwi so first went to jail and possibly at the funeral of dohyuk's family, so maybe it'll be important to the story as it continues. even if i don't really care about the story i'm still excited for new episodes because of joon, but i'm stuggling to see how this will be stretched another season.
And he also looks like the mysterious mask guy that Dami's grandpa talked to in ep 2(?)
i do see it now that i rewatched that part but i'm not sure and i thought it was someone else based on voice but i could be wrong.. i wonder if that character in the mask is K and working with both sides or K is separate entirely.
Wahhhh I noticed him in episode 4 at the cell scene and just went back to watch the episode 3 and it was really…
the camerawork was weird when he stood up in episode 3 so i rewatched and realized it was him.. i was kind of doubting if it really was until i saw him again today though. now i'm so interested, who is he? is he working with K? is he possibly K himself? is he working with someone else entirely?? i'm mad i watched when it aired now lol
actor kim do hoon has played two roles now (and maybe more that i haven't noticed); one in the youth crimes protection agency(?) that dami goes to in episode 3, and now in episode 4 he is the prison guard who escorts dami's father to his 'lawyer' and stands in the back of the room while they talk. i think he is working with whoever planned this all -- he is probably going to be somewhat important to the plot later. i wonder if we'll see him again in another role pretending to be working like he has done twice now.. because he is gone once the lawyer is discovered in the jail cell. he also is the one giving the condolence money at the end, as we see the nail shown in the jail too when dami's dad is leaving (or if it's not him, maybe it's their signature or something? but the nail was flicked the same way.) i happened to notice him in episode 3 because i just finished moving and he was my favorite character so i'm interested to see who his character is here because this episode made it seem like he might be important to the next part of the plot.
anyways, watching this for joon alone and this episode hurt me.
So you don't want to know any background context about the leads nd their connections well done 😂
many of the flashbacks are seoha seeing juwon through jieum without understanding why. the things jieum says are the same as juwon and we as viewers know why but seoha doesn't.
i think it's my first time to cry over finishing a show and having no episodes left,, i was so emotionally attached to them without realizing it lol. this show is perfect. i don't think i'd change anything at all, and as someone who barely gives 10's for dramas, this is a 10/10. like a 15/10 actually. i am sitting here crying as i write this still because i can't believe it's over.. literally all 5 of the main cast are the greenest flags i've seen in a while, the relationships and friendships are so relatable and wholesome.. nothing toxic about this show. the one tiny conflict that happened i enjoyed because it helped show how much they care for each other (can say this for both couples.) they gave me everything i wanted and more. i didn't expect a drama like this would become my number one but it has. if anyone read all of my rambles and is considering starting please do.. it's so sweet. i am gonna go rewatch now and cry some more because it's over. the rewatch value of this show is kind of insane as well lol i don't see myself getting tired of it. my new favorite cp <3
I think people are definitely not giving the drama a chance to explain, but I also think it missed several opportunities…
that is a fair point too. i do understand the criticism in some ways as i said i just wanted to give more context as i read the webtoon pretty recently. it also changed from the webtoon how young jieum met seoha as a teenager which i didn't like, i enjoyed the webtoon one more and it made more sense why she continued to follow him..
Yeah, and as far as memories go.. humans tend to remember bits and pieces (save for a few exceptions such as those…
again i forget if it's drama or webtoon, but i know at one point she mentions her memories had been blurring together until she met seoha. i think a big part of this is people haven't given the story a chance, it has been 2 episodes and people talk as if they know what is going on when they haven't read the webtoon or let the drama explain the story more. like i said if people don't like it there are plenty of other dramas, and i wanted to explain a bit of what i understood since i read the webtoon recently.
I have not read the webtoon so I am glad you bring some insight about the main character and who she is. It conforts…
it wasn't actually the kids scenes together that bothered me as i read the webtoon and know the story, i meant more like them choosing to have ahn bohyun play his part as a teenager when he is an obvious adult and having young jieum say "let's get married!" how they chose to do this part is a bit different from the webtoon as well. i can understand why they had him play it for story's sake and since he is 18 at the time i believe so he will look pretty much the same as an adult.. i just wasn't a fan so i skipped it but some people are taking it too far. if it bothers them then don't watch, nobody is forcing them.
i wish people would read the webtoon as it makes the age gap make much more sense. she is not 1000 or however years old. her memories come back to her, but that is all they are, memories. my understanding was she still feels the emotions of whatever body she is in, so when she is 12, she is really like a 12 year old girl with seoha. until she remembers her previous memories, her personality is forming based on her surroundings just like everyone else. while it is an overnight change when she remembers, that does not erase the personality she had before she remembered her past lives. that is why juwon and jieum are so different -- juwon was an heiress with a loving family and jieum was from a poor family who took advantage of her and didn't take proper care of her. i can't remember if it is the webtoon that says it or if the drama has said it, but she said she only wanted to check in on seoha. she didn't plan on following him like she did but she couldn't help herself (again, she was 9 -- she had the memories of her past lives but she really was only 9.) after living so many lives and losing those around her countless times, being shunned by the family or friends she could remember but she was now a different person so they didn't know her.. seoha was different for her. it is not as if he ever takes her serious as young jieum (he didn't even remember her at first,) and i do wonder if juwon really took 9 year old seoha seriously either -- if they hadn't had such a tragic ending, things would likely be different (the webtoon sort of touches on this too.) jieum doesn't know how long she has in this life as she dies at different times in every life -- and a spoiler, as if a lot of this wasn't already, part of the reason she wanted to stay with seoha was to make sure he was alright and she soon comes to realize he is not, at all. the accident affected him much more than she had imagined. at the end of the day if it bothers you don't watch. i also thought the seemingly meant to be 'romantic' scenes w kids in them were incredibly strange so i skipped them and will do so in the future if there is any more. there are plenty of other dramas where a hundred or thousand-some year old being meets a human and falls in love so i don't understand the big issue with this one to be honest. in this case she isn't even the same 1000 year old being, she simply has memories that old up until the present. if it was written differently or differs from the webtoon i could understand the problem. but i think this is because there is only 2 eps out and the drama has not told the full story in that time obviously that people are misunderstanding what is going on. i'm not saying people can't be weirded out still, but a lot of these comments are wrong and spreading things that aren't true if the drama is going to follow the webtoon even sort of closely. but, as i said, if it bothers you either way then don't watch it.
i am rewatching as i have a poor memory anyways and am also waiting for the new episodes, and i realized something (i think as i don't speak chinese fluently.) in episode 8 when zaizai and rangrang are at the aquarium, rangrang calms the crying kid down and zaizai says she didn't know he was so good at coaxing kids.. then jokes what about coaxing a 200 month old kid (i assume she means herself.) then the next ep she says to him without thinking that seeing him w the kid felt like seeing them 10 years in the future and is surprised/a little embarrassed by what she said.. but then rangrang just says 'forget it, kids say whatever they want.' am i reading into it or is that a crazy thing to say? my first watch i assumed he was talking about what the kid had said about her looking at him like she liked him. but on my rewatch i am suddenly realizing it could mean either.. if i was zaizai and told that at 16 by my crush my head would be spinning lmao. maybe everyone realized this their first watch or i'm just wrong but i couldn't get it out of my head and had to share lol
