seen it once before, decided to rewatch some kdramas i don't remember much of while waiting for airing ones to finish. i remember enjoying it but it wasn't my favorite because i hadn't seen many kdramas yet (including bad ones which made me go over what i enjoyed, lol.) just finished the rewatch and i absolutely love this series. decent pacing, only one main antagonist who isn't overbearing the entire story, great chemistry between the leads, good acting, and an enjoyable supporting cast. just a very well done feel good drama most of the time which i love !! 10/10 recommend if you haven't seen it yet. however some people who like faster paced dramas that are more exciting might find it boring or say it has no plot; but for me this is a near perfect drama because i can't stand when something is going wrong EVERY episode.
only one thing i dislike but it's in nearly every drama so i just skipped it and even though it's a few years old i don't wanna spoil!

Tbf, the recent kdramas aka from the years 21/22 have quite the good track record in not dragging out conflicts…
oh my god the stupid breakups they did for 'each others sake' when it's in reality usually just bad writing wanting drama but not knowing how to implement it LOL so many cdramas are like that too. so glad that it seems like everyone is over that so writers are changing it up

i love the evolution of male leads that is evident in watching dramas from like 5-6 years ago compared to today. there are still some that are like that, but in comparison it is bearable now when i see ML's like that so long as they aren't total assholes. my favorite though has to be the 2nd FL trend as you mentioned; i was soo tired of women tearing each other down or being insanely jealous over the man they liked showing another woman attention. i truly hope suyeon stays the same way she is and writers continue this trend, no more friendships ending over a man!!

some do, but some still just drag on one point the whole time for drama.. i still think this drama is doing it better than most i've seen! having a hard time to remember another drama that would reveal something like this halfway through the show when it could've been teased for like 4-5 more eps and not been that weird compared to other dramas

how am i gonna wait a week after that emotional reunion + wyw confessing ?!?!? my heart... but i do love how this drama doesn't drag everything out for episodes. like i didn't expect them to reveal it this soon that tae sumi is really her mother, let alone have them meet and talk about it. it's so refreshing that it isn't all about keeping it covered up until the last 2-3 episodes. this drama is avoiding so many stereotypes of kdramas i've seen and the ratings should hopefully tell other writers doing it like this is good!! i read that the casting directors waited almost a year for park eunbin to play this role after she turned it down the first time (she was worried she couldn't do it well) bc they couldn't imagine anyone else playing woo young woo and i totally agree. she is just nailing every aspect of this drama and i hope she gets sooo many offers after this. kang tae oh too once he returns from the military!!

ugh i am so mad. i absolutely hate minwoo lmao. like i understand wyw is 'competition' for the final job, but is there a need to go so far?? as suyeon (my mvp of this episode minus one thing..) said, if he has a problem take it to the CEO or someone higher up. she is right; even if wyw is stronger than them in some ways he is still choosing to attack her when she has enough disadvantages going for her + she had the highest grades in school and should have been hired already but bc of discrimination she has not gotten it!! i can already hear the "i was wondering how she got hired anyways" etc that will probably ensue once that post goes up. i really hope that those around her, such as attorney jung, suyeon, and junho will stand up in her defense. my only thing i disliked about suyeon this episode was her yelling at junho for the misunderstandings that minwoo mainly caused. junho NEVER said anything about suyeon to him iirc, he was just quiet after the question was asked and that gossiping rude man chose to run his mouth. i don't think junho is at fault for that.. plus, with how he confused wyw it was sort of an awkward asking with it being during working hours and things like that + he may not have been sure himself so i don't blame him. i hope since romance isn't the main point they can get together quicker and have no break ups.. and pls don't let the scene at the end of ep 7 be a dream or smth I BEG!!! i was like omg its happening its happening finally he's being forward!!

This is one of those types of shows which has no FILLERS as some more impatient people around here are calling…
yeah i don't think any episodes are useless which is a plus for this show. i like stuff like that too where every facial expression matters, and it can help you figure out what may happen down the line.. i don't have exactly a reason i am not into it either which is weird. i just am so mehh on it, but i will finish and may give a rewatch later to see if i was just being too harsh!! i am also watching extraordinary attorney woo rn which is so amazing to me i could've been biased

Maybe you skipped the important parts? Coz as far as I've seen, which is as far as you did.. There could be little…
i can understand that and i don't think i skipped anything too important (i only skip the scenes that really feel too long to me which doesn't happen much in this drama, but even the romance which usually makes me excited just isn't doing it..) i haven't been able to guess anything either so far which again usually would make me really enjoy a drama and the writing but it hasn't happened yet for me. but glad so many others like it!! it's definitely good, i just am on the fence about it still but will be finishing it because of the time i invested lol

If you can’t get into it just drop it! It’s just not your cup of tea while for me this series is delight to…
that's true ofc some people would like it more! i just found the first 3 episodes really awkward honestly, and then i had a hard time getting into the storyline. but i'm hoping i'll like it more later, or maybe on rewatch..

sad i can't get into this. watched all 12 episodes while skipping, just never really got my attention; the mystery nor the romance. i'm hoping the last 4 or so eps will change my mind because i love yeo jin goo and moon gayoung but i'm just on the fence rn about this drama

May I ask, Netflix in what country? I want to use VPN to access the new episodes, as Netflix in my country sadly…
oh that's weird! but i've had some issues with accessing stuff on netflix too. i'm just hoping it will stay this way and i won't have issues with the other episodes!

So in this episode the other ceo said she has a son. I really don’t understand that. Also in the next episode…
i can't remember what episode as i binged watched the ones out yesterday, but the taesan(?) CEO has an interview with a journalist and in that she mentions she has a son (who is known about by the public unlike youngwoo if assumptions are correct.) i'm sorry i don't remember the episode!

watching ep 6 on netflix now woooo !!! the ratings are so deserved, i love this show so much.
but gosh, i knew from like ep 1/2 that suyeon liking junho would likely be a problem.. i hope she can get over it cuz he does not like her. i love her and youngwoo's friendship so much i don't want it to be ruined over a man like so many shows.. but this show gives me hope cuz its so refreshing and unexpected always! but ofc that stupid coworker idec about his name can't fathom that junho likes youngwoo so he is mouthing off to suyeon and gonna create more drama between them when its revealed. also made youngwoo kind of sad too cuz of his "you don't know what that's like, right?" ooh i hate him unless he has a 180 character flip and super redeeming qualities by the end he will stay my most hated character

Title Bloody Heart Spoiler
loved to see han na in a lead role. she killed it! also, i see a lot of hate for the king in the comments but imo he is very realistic of what someone growing up in that time/environment would be like.

will be some spoilers below:

he really was untrusting of everyone besides those who were always on his side, and it makes sense. people pretending to be your friend while in reality are plotting against you, everyone scheming against him since he was a young boy. hell, his mom went to the trouble of poisoning his tea because it's better to be sick until you become more tolerant to it than die from it.
he didn't even trust yoo jung in the beginning, and i could feel his character didn't fully trust her until around eps 8-9. he was doing so much of this so he could protect her but he didn't trust her enough to tell her the truth, and then she was sided with his enemy so even when they were together there was this.. air about them, not fully exposing themselves to one another while still longing to be together. when she revealed her identity near the end w/o telling him and he began to wonder if he could trust her etc.. i was hurt like nooo pls just talk to one another. i wished they could have in the drama at least a few times gotten along and worked together but they both were working on their own plans most of the time. the one thing i hated was the king not telling yoo jung his plans.. like, ever. it made it a little satisfying when she did the same back to him, but i would have much preferred a couple who would just be open to each other. but like i said this portayal was probably more realistic.
all in all i'd give it a 8.5. a decent amount of romance, except i did not care abt the qd and pgw's romance so i skipped that LOL. but enjoyable scheming, a 'powerless' king but one who is working hard to orchestrate his plans at the correct time, and a strong, smart FL who even kind of made the antagonist come onto the side of the leads.
