I used to watch a lot of thai dramas earlier. Yes many shows have tropes.. Some even appeared copy-paste of each other.. They are very famous slap-kiss genre that is almost exclusive to thai dramas. Typical toxic ML, naive FL, yelling, kidnapping sequence.. The recent ones are bit better.. The shows by Mark Prin, James Jirayu are much better than average lakorns. Even MFS and MHIL are still so much better than other thai shows I have watched..

We as viewers may not like it but these writers/directors sadly make a conscious choice to add typical tropes as thai ppl may like it or, to improve viewership/ratings. I like K dramas for keeping up the quality of the stories/giving relatively better endings.

Have seen this a lot in turkish dramas too where endings were made tragic so that the story becomes more intense and has high recall and such shows are usually nominated for international awards

Yes same heard a lot about it hence didnt want to watch Melting Me softly.. JCW off late shows are not doing well sadly.. I am keeping Healer and K2 as a backup..He is good with the action genre. I want to have shows I can watch when none of his shows will be airing for long.. :)

Yes revenge is my second favourite genre so I have watched the innocent man..I used to watch a lot of thai dramas in this genre but saw many of them are pretty toxic /aggressive so i hv ruled out unless there is Mark or Jirayu in it. After few months, someone recommended Fah Mee Tawan which was decent. The ML was really good with his role..

Its seems long since Push has come back on screen but yes 2 of his shows are going to be ariing soon so fingers crossed. I am yet to watch anything with Mark and his GF Kim.. any recommendations?

Yeah the FL was biggest flaw of the show.. Yes Autumn Concerto kiddo was very cute.. I am a big fan of Jung Hae In and JCW but not many shows come up sadly. :)

I loved Princess Man for its intensity.. Hardly any shows I have found similar to that..

I am now looking forward to JCW 's love struck in the city this month and Push's You are my Heartbeat (no timeline yet) .. They look promising.

My recommendations are romantic dramas.. Hardly watched any rom-coms

I liked Hua Jai Sila (Tor version) though FL is a bit annoying, i really liked their chemistry.. Other good rom dramas are Princess man (revenge) , Autumn Concerto (melodrama/tragedy), One Spring Night (Romance with obstacles) and Suspicious Partner (crime-romance) are also good to watch

I know seriously. that is so problematic. She is blaming Paeng for her parents death..She was a kid then. so toxic that woman is. Yes even Arthith reaction was okaysh..In the novel, that has a significant impact on him. He understands that Paeng is more stronger than she looks

Yes for sure. Got a good story and botched it.

With everything in the novel, I had such high expectation. Like Ling, in the novel Paeng yields to Arthit not after much effort

Yes . From the novel too I only felt she was ever scared only of athitht noonelse. She just was being respectful. They don't give so much space to the mother there !

I hope she comes back bcs she can't live without him rather than his mom asking her to return..then only this story will make sense to me.

Likely to be disappointing. Only hope that they close up the conflict between them by tommorows episode for a basic saving grace.

Yes their wedding, what happens to her life on the farm, glimpse of their married life as given in the epilogue too ..Remember they will have to feature ling-non, nang too so i am setting myself for a disappointment.. what a waste

Yes in the novel too Arthit is so romantic..The way its going how they are going to fit her acceptance, wedding and a glimpse of epilogue in one episode.. So annoying.

In the novel, Nang comes to visit her brother and ends up telling that she bullied Paeng about her parents death and says that her parents died on same day, one killed by her lover and the other suicide. When arthit confronts his father, he admits the truth where even his wife sitting there is suprised and acknowledges that she has treated Paeng badly and contributed to her distress. Paeng becomes sick and both Arthit and his mom take care of her.. nothing significant is told about the mothers response after this in the novel.
