Maybe it's because i'm not familiar with Cdramas but i really want to watch this, but it's so confusing to me.…
His real name is Wei Wuxian. He's the legendary grandmaster of demonic cultivation. He's already dead 16 years ago (as u can see on the first ep he's falling) and in the present time, a human named Mo Xuan Yu sacrificed his body to summon Wei Wuxian to come back alive and revenge for the sake of Mo Xuan Yu. So basically, Wei Wuxian is reincarnated but he's living with Mo Xuan Yu's identity. Mo Xuan Yu always put his mask on that's why people aren't suspicious of Wei Wuxian's face. Wei Wuxian is hiding from Lan Zhan (and everyone) because of his past and he's not ready to meet his old friends from 16 years ago. The reason why Wei Wuxian was killed would be explained in the flashback episodes! You must watch it without any spoilers haha. Basically the flashback episodes started from ep 2 until 31 if i'm not mistaken.
