THANK YOU!!! 🙌 The papa/mama thing wasn’t cute, wasn’t amusing — it was cringy from the very first second…
YESS EXACTLY!! 🙌 I swear I was starting to feel like the only one losing brain cells every time the “papa/mama” line dropped like it was supposed to be hot. 😩 You're so right — I tried to give it a chance too, but it’s giving secondhand embarrassment and spiritual nausea at this point. 💀
And YES, Pavel carried Season 1 and Season 2 like it’s his full-time job — give that man a raise, a crown, and dare i say a better partner? (cause honestly i don't see how charlie is a top... i am sorry... he looks so goofy and nerdy)
Honestly, the wasted potential is the most frustrating part. With proper casting, better chemistry, and actual dialogue that didn’t make me want to hide under a table — this season could’ve eaten. Instead, we’re out here surviving on scraps and praying for a full WillyBabe buffet. 😭🍽️
At this point I’m just here for Pavel, KimKenta crumbs, and hoping the script stops trying to turn cringe into a personality trait.
Can we stop with the Papa/Mama cringy nonsense already?!!! My eyes and ears are bleeding!!! I mean once I heard…
THANK YOU!!! 🙌 The papa/mama thing wasn’t cute, wasn’t amusing — it was cringy from the very first second and it only got worse. Every time they said it, my soul left my body a little more. 😩 Like who thought this was a good idea??
Instead of giving us real chemistry or letting the dynamics speak for themselves, they kept hammering us with those forced titles like we wouldn’t get it otherwise. And honestly? The more they tried to convince us Charlie was serving "Top energy," the more it exposed the fact that he’s really not — especially next to Babe, who’s practically dragging the whole ship on his back. 😬
The scenes didn’t feel sexy or sweet — they felt awkward and over-scripted. Meanwhile, WillyBabe came in with no theatrics, no cringe vocab, and somehow delivered more chemistry in two scenes than CharlieBabe has in an entire season. 🔥
Also yes, bringing Way back like that? What a choice. Wrong one. KentaKim? I’m watching. 👀 Pavel? Carrying this season on his back.
If they don’t tone down the try-hard writing and drop the “Papa/Mama” mess, I’m gonna need subtitles just for my secondhand embarrassment. 🙈
LSH,The man who is allergic to romance but obssessed with ghosts, fantasy and weird storylines..but we are sat…
Lee Soo Hyuk has mentioned disliking love triangles and cheating storylines in the past. Not romance in general. This suggests a preference for more straightforward or unique romantic narratives. ❤️
"Every time he enters a scene, I forget my name, age, and life responsibilities"Girrrrrrrllllll same! The lean…
Girlllllllllllllll this scene lives in my mind palace rent-free and redecorated it in gold and silk. The way he leaned back — casually, arrogantly, beautifully — while she was straddling him like that… I had to pause and stare at my ceiling. I didn’t just forget how to breathe — I flatlined. CPR couldn’t save me. I saw the ancestors and they told me to stay. 😭
I will never get over The Prisoner of Beauty. This drama didn’t just entertain me — it reprogrammed my soul. It cleared my skin, cured my existential dread, preheated the oven, cooked my rice, watered my plants, AND charged my phone. 🔋🍚🌿
Liu Yuning walked in with that voice and those eyes and suddenly my standards packed their bags and left. That deep, velvet voice? Those devastating gazes? That height?? I didn’t stand a chance. Sir, why are you built like heartbreak and loyalty had a beautiful, dangerous baby? Every time he enters a scene, I forget my name, age, and life responsibilities. 😮💨💔
Song Zu'er? Stunning, fierce, soft — the chemistry between them was so intense, I had to wear SPF just to survive the glow. ☀️🔥 They served imperial-grade passion and enemies-to-soulmates like it was a gourmet banquet.
Every episode hit like a truck full of emotions, and now I just rewatch it like it’s my religion. My Roman Empire? No. This is my entire empire. 👑
Prisoner of Beauty said, “plot, romance, OST, visuals, trauma, healing?” — YES TO ALL. I’m not watching a drama anymore. I’m spiritually locked in the palace with them. And honestly? I’m fine with that.
In fact, I’m studying this drama like I’m preparing for the Imperial Civil Service Exam. I’ve got notes, emotional essays, and flashcards titled “Top 10 Times Liu Yuning Made Me Ascend.” 📚✒️ Call me delusional, but I’m about to pass this course with royal honors.
Not recommended that you blend a character with the actor. They're playing a role. He's a good actor.
I can have an opinion, thanks! I know he’s an actor playing a role — no need for the lecture. Maybe try not raining on other people’s parade or take my funny thirst post as exactly that — funny and thirsty, not a literal essay. Lighten up! 😄
I’m watching Good Boy and I need someone to hold me (preferably Park Bo Gum, thanks). Because WHY is he so cute, so sweet, so handsome, so… DREAMY?? 😩 Yun Dong Ju has me giggling, kicking my feet, blushing like a webtoon schoolgirl. Every time he smiles, my brain short circuits. My knees give out. My standards get higher. And the way Yun Dong Ju treats Ji Han Na? Gentle, kind, protective — like sir, are you trying to ruin me?? 💘 He’s the golden retriever boyfriend we all dream of — soft, loyal, sunshine energy — but the moment someone messes with the girl he loves? Boom. Doberman mode activated. Like yes, defend me with your life and then kiss my forehead, thank you. And the worst part? I can 1000% see Park Bo Gum being this sweet in real life too. Like... sir, please stop being the blueprint for fictional men. You’re ruining reality for the rest of us! Honestly, he’s been like this since When Life Gives You Tangerines. The ultimate husband material. Faithful. Loving. Hot. Wholesome. Dangerously sweet. I’m not even watching for the plot anymore. (Even though so far i really really enjoy the series) I’m watching for my emotional support prince. I am thirsting, sobbing, and emotionally unavailable until further notice. 💔
I’ve seen him since He is Psychometric and I can say, he disappears with each role. I hope his acting career…
omg this comment is so spot on!!!! Indeed he disappears and he becomes the role! I'm honestly impressed with his growth over the years. (he's psychometric is still one of my faves)
😂🤣 Girrrrllll . . . you said the quiet part out loud.
Listen... at this point I’m not even whispering the quiet part — I’m singing it like a palace courtesan with no shame and a lute. 🎶💅 Some people study law, some study medicine… I study Taecyeon in royal robes. 😩
To like or dislike an actor/actress is personal preference. So if you feel Li Yi Tong is giving you auntie vibes,…
Just to be clear — I’ve got nothing against Li Yi Tong as an actress, and definitely not her age! She’s talented, no shade at all. I was just sharing a personal vibe I got from how she comes across in some roles — not dragging her, I swear 😅 Some people simply have a more mature look or energy on screen, and that can affect how certain roles come across, regardless of their actual age. And to be fair, the same could be said for Liu Yuning too — I’ve seen people say he looks older than some co-stars, but for me, it’s more about presence and how well they embody their characters. Not everyone has to look 22 with anime features to be believable or captivating on screen. Not everyone has to fit the typical "idol face" mold to be compelling or charismatic. For me, it’s about how an actor embodies a character, and he’s done that consistently well. And also the whole "people call him ugly" was a bit unnecessary cause i didn't call LYT ugly at all! :D so it's not about people being called ugly or not...
It’s all subjective in the end — we’re just sharing thoughts, not issuing royal decrees 😅
