I loved your review, it was amazingly written and on point. This review resonated perfectly with my thoughts & how i felt about this drama.
And yes, i had high hopes for the show, I was also very happy with the cast BUT it just felt flat. The only character that had actual depth was RSO and BWS's delivery was great! He was so in character that we could feel every word he said, every emotion... I just wish they gave the villain a different ending , (not because BWS is hot or whatnot but) because it kinda felt that he deserved what the ancient Greeks call catharsis. Yes he did some terrible things, but like you said "he was doomed from the start" ...He was never loved or treated as a human being, so he grew up into a monster...
Compared to this tragic character every other character felt so flat and shallow....
Grandpa is super sus! He has a ton of items from Joseon, he asked KTH to send PYW back to "Italy", he got mad that KTH told everyone he is married and that PYW is his wife, and he met with the obsessive biatch Ha Na... I am so confused with his actions....Also hear me out...Do you remember when KTH back in Joseon told PYW that it was his late grandpa's wish to get married so he did it to fullfil his wish even though he knew he was sick. What if Grandpa knew that KTH was sick maybe because of a curse and in order to break that curse KTH would have to get married to anyone BUT PYW????? What if he knew about their tragic fate together and he tries to separate them???????
