All the CGI budget was spent on the falcon π¦β no money left for the bear π» π
In the novel she went hunting with Xie Zheng soldiers and killed a bear which is insane haha. But they needed meat.
And, she went to steal grain and salt from the rebels.
Of course Xie Zheng lectures her in the novel about how reckless she was, that she could get killed together with the soldiers, but there's no punishment by lashes, and she learns that what she did was wrong.
well in the novel she's more close to Xie Wu and Xie Qi and they were always by her side, supporting her! That goes for other soldiers after what happens in next 2 episodes. Don't wanna spoil you anything.
well in the novel he's aware that Li Huai An is with her after he leaves...and he's in tough position. he can't be at two places at the same time, or let the rebels take over.
See and that's why I don't like how they changed his personality in the adaption.
His true self is when he's with other people. He was never that sweet or nice to anyone. That's why you don't like his behavior right now. Because he was too different at the beginning.
He's very complex character. I wouldn't say he doesn't care that she's crying but the situation she created is not light. He wants to lecture her.
And I believe from EP 30+ we will get back to the revenge plotline. We just need Changyu to find out his true identity.
ohhh can you post about the novel scene as a spoiler? I was actually a little bit low key getting 2nd hand embarassment…

I get why you're angry at him but I understand why he decided to do that. He didn't want to punish Changyu herself since she acted without an order. So he took the blame. The soldiers would otherwise do whatever they wanted if a girl like her, without a title could kidnap someone important to the war.
I get why are you all annoyed by what Changyu did in ep 25 π but you honestly think Xie Zheng would just stand up there if he thought her plan wouldn't work? to me, it looked like he believed the plan would work even if it was reckless and sudden.
I do agree that the screenwriter should've stick to what happened in the novel... but I understand why they had to change it. It would be impossible to film that hunting scene.

They can't handle seeing pretty man on the screen. I wonder why.
I think she has a lot of brain in her head π
"I hold her, and don't let her go." ππ₯ something Xie Zheng would 100% do.
