Started off very strong, and fell flat at the end...

All the actors are so talented and amazing! I wish the script was better because even though I liked the main characters together, I didn't feel much better them. Especially, after they got together.

There was some chemistry, but it was too weak.

The drama was also a bit forced. Do we really need these plots in a rom-com? It was rushed and random.

I love rom-coms, but I hateeeeee when the romance is not romancing just because they got together! Where is the yearning, and desire? Why only focus on the drama, and no longer on the relationship?

The second couple was very cute and I wish we had gotten more screen time with them.

I enjoyed the early episodes a lot, but I wouldn't rewatch it again.

Nobody is flawless

People these days can't handle flawed characters, and that's why they hated this drama. From the moment it aired, people kept bashing it, so of course I was discouraged from watching it.

What a mistake would that be if I didn't give it a chance because I enjoyed it and absolutely loved it!

Both Qian xi, and Ying Tao are flawed characters. Qian Xi is selfish. Ying Tao is unhealthily obsessive.

The highschool years showed us how immature and childish they still were. They lived in this bubble, where they thought everything would went well after the grow up. But the college years showed us their development. Ying Tao found out that love isn't easy like in fairytales. Her roommate was a great example of that.

Qian Xi went from the highest top, to the lowest one. His was selfish for telling Ying Tao "Don't forget me." when he knew, he wouldn't see her again. But I believe he wanted at least one person to think of him in his hardest time. I understand that he had a pride, that he didn't want her to see him like this. His mother always wanted him to be perfect, and when you spend years in this illusion, you cannot simply get out of it.

You'll always think, you have to be perfect in order for people to like you, to love you. Otherwise, you're not worthy of them.

Their relationship is toxic, but beautiful. This drama is the proof of it.

Their love surpassed everything bad, and left only the good in their relationship.

A promising beginning....if only the rest wasn't dragging

The very beginning was very interesting, and I couldn't wait to see more. But around episode 10 the drama started to drag.

The pacing is the biggest problem here. One scene shouldn't last for 20+ minutes. I often found myself falling asleep to it.

Now, the second problem was Esther Yu and Zhang Ling He. Their romance didn't work for me at all. I didn't understand where this instant attraction came from.

I felt no chemistry between them. Like 0%. I do like both actors, especially Ling He, but I hope they will never cast them together again.

Esther Yu acting wasn't bad, but at the same time, she felt flat for me in some episodes. I really enjoyed her performance in episode 23.

Now, the second couple was truly amazing. I felt their chemistry through the scene. Shang Jue was for me the best character in the entire drama together with Zi Shang and Yuan Zhi.

Zi Shang made me laugh so hard. Her comedy is top! I'd love to see her in more dramas.

The twist at the end surprised me quite a bit. I was glad to see that at the end the whole Gong family got together and went against Wufeng together.

The music was outstanding. The dark aesthetic of this drama is something I'd like to see more. Every scene was beautiful shot, and directed.

I wonder what made them add the last 6 minutes of pointless footage at the end. It was totally unnecessary since there won't be a season 2.

Over all, I enjoyed the drama. But it could've been done much better.

A wasted potential...

I had a lot of expectations from this drama. Especially, because I know the actress from WIFTY. However, this drama felt flat for me. The ML was too dull. He has a lot of potential, but his acting in my opinion is weak.

The 2 ML was a lot better in my opinion. He and FL had a chemistry that she didn't have with the main ML.

If this was maybe 24 episodes long, it couldn't been better. It had a nice visuals, and soundtracks, but I didn't believe in their romance at all. They didn't convince me just because they said they were in love, and had feelings for each other.

This drama could've been sooooo good. Fake dating. Being roommates? That's one of the best tropes.

This needed a better script! And much more episodes to deliver it better!

Finally, a slow-burn romance done properly.

I watched a lot od K-dramas and C-dramas, but this...this was one of the best dramas I've ever seen!!!!

Finally, a slow-burn romance! It was so well done, my heart was beating fast because of the main characters tension and the ML yearning!

Zhang Ling he is one of the most talented actors, and he's the only one in my eyes who can play a red flag, possessive, jealous character that desires the FL with all his being.

If I could, I'd erase my memories of this drama to see it again for the first time.

Finally a rom-com that made me feel every emotion!

If you don't like lies, misunderstandings and a love triangle, I advise you to watch something else because you'll hate this drama.

I haven't seen k-drama like this in months. It made me feel nostalgic. Sympathetic. Angry. Sad. And most and foremost, I felt the envy because Ji Hjeok's love and yearning is simply unreal.

The term: eyes can't lie was heavily implied here.

Ji Hjeok showed me that if a man truly loves a woman, he can do anything for her. Search the whole world in order to find her. That he would support her and stand by her side.

He's a man with a lot of trauma, who despite that knows how to care about the people he loves. Who can shower them with love, and affection.

And Da Rim is a woman failed by her family. When her world already sucked for her, her sister made it shatter by leaving her a huge debt.

She doesn't feel like someone that is worthy of anything. But still, she tries all her best to take care of her mother, and about the bills.

This drama proves that even people without higher education can still work and be useful in society. That people shouldn't put mother's aside just because they have a family and kids.

Lying is not okay. But would you truly not do anything to save yourself and your family? The world is unfair. Sometimes we need to do things that aren't right. But that doesn't mean we won't face the consequences.

Because everything has a price that needs to be paid for. And the bigger the risk is, the higher is the price.
