I can only answer based on the novel but there's no one big bad villain. In the family, the concubine and other family member served as rival for LYN. 2nd ML is a rival in love and politic for LSY.

I agree. Only three costume dramas reached 30K heat this year, the legend of shenli, joy of life 2, and lost you forever 2. All three have predisposed audiences.

I've always feel TRON will do well. The family infight genre is audience favorite. As long as the writing is good, it will keep doing well

In the novel, the ML started to have feeling for her when she's like 10 maybe and he's 18. The novel is totally screwed up so I'm glad they changed it.

I wish they did a childhood part first where they explained that ML and SL are not actual siblings because all the starring and slo-mo are weird if the audiences think they're siblings from the same father.

I will watch anything with Wanyi in it but I have a lot of issues with the novel so I hope they will make some drastic changes. My biggest problem with the novel is with the FL character. She has no aspirations and basically at the mercy and whim of all the men in her lives.

she will be there until the end of drama but she's not much of a foil for the main cp's relationship
