I'm so confused about all these talk about cutting scenes, cdrama is notorious for their censorship, from what I was told, all episodes have to pass cencorship first before it can even air. How can you make changes after if that's the case? Was I given the wrong information?

I honestly thought based on my experience watching wuxia drama (FOMH is only my third or fourth modern cdrama) that the most we'll get is a kiss or two, so I was blown away by the amount of skinship shown.
I agree that they are very comfortable with each other, their romantic scenes just seem effortless if that makes sense. 😄

I always thought that for overseas distribution cdrama/kdrama will have standard EN translation from the PH, I guess each platform provides their own translator.

I have to say I really like Jiang Yu, his optimism and a little naive outlook on lives is exactly what Song Yan needed. His admiration for Song Yan is adorable. His family life is a nice contrast to Meng family despite their similar financial standing. He has plenty of hearts and he really cares for others. Hopefully we'll get more scenes with him and Li Meng, him leaving her little notes is their thing.

On Mother Meng, I actually have plenty of compassion for misguided parents who also probably never learned how to love, I'm all for supporting parent-child reconciliation. But this woman, she lacks basic compassion, that shot where XuQin was crying her heart out in the car and she smirk because she got her way that was ice cold. She's too set on her way. As a narcissist, in her head she's a benevolent mother, and it's her children duty to follow the path she laid out for them. In reality, I don't see how this type of person can change much. So, I'm intrigued to see how her story ends later.
