It feels like there's only a few people watching the show for the plot, with the way Jiang Xuening is being attacked just because she's not acting the way people want her to, aka being obedient to Xie Wei and his plans (which he never informed her of btw, she's had to resort to assumptions of his plans). She's selfish and acts for her own purpose but we knew that already, why are people acting surprised. Her goal has always been to keep the ones she cares for safe. At first that was Yan Lin when he and his family was in danger, and now it's Zhang Zhe since he's in harms way. It would be way out of character for her to just stand by and let him die with the knowledge that Xie Wei is potentially plotting to kill him, considering she killed herself to spare his life in their first life. People seem to forget too, that Jiang Xuening is still under the impression that Xie Wei is the reason she had to die in the first life, and that she still fears him to this point.
All I can say is I'm disappointed but not surprised that a lot of people aren't even trying to think critically and understand her motivations. Anyways, I felt like I had to say something, especially when I came across a tweet saying Jiang Xuening should die...please keep your internalized misogyny in check.
