Either way even if it was in hold it wouldn’t pass through since MYUNGHEE DAS WAS ACCUSED of being an anti-communist and so he was tortured by heetae’s father which how he got his limp but myunghee never knew until now, so now she finally understands why all these times her chances in life were always declined since she was an anti-communist (a commie)’s daughter. AND HEETAE MY POOR MAN was looking all over for her, even went to myunghee’s family home in naju where heetae ate with her parents and he introduced himself as myunghee’s boyfriend and asked where she was and her parents replied with she hadn't come, until he finally found her but myunghee wasn't talking to heetae because of heetae’s dad destroying her plans of going abroad because of myunghee dating heetae. And after heetae got on his knees, and begged his father to let myunghee go abroad, and he replied with “it’s just the start” HE’S UR SON NOT ENEMY NO NEED TO TREAT HIM LIKE THAT and then heetae”s dad ordered him to go Seoul with sooryeon and live there until he tells him to come back (heetae dad will probably only tell him to come back once the wedding preparations ready) and that his behaviour in Seoul will determine myunghee’s fate. On the other hand, soochan was tweaking because it was his fault that heetae’s dad found out so he was trying everything he could to help myunghee, until sooryeon walks in, and out of gult of what had happened sooryeon tells her brother about how they had been lying from the start, that myunghee went to the first blind date not her. And then eventually soochan and sooryeon tell their dad as well, which is when her dad still tells her to marry, and that they would compensate myunghee, since she “wasn't family” according to their father, which causes soochan to crash out and he says he would handle it on his own and tell heetae”s dad himself about calling off the wedding, which then causes soochan’s dad to faint and then sooryeon finds out about her dad’s illness and it affects the heart and stress is a risk factor and wtv and eventually instead she decides to go Seoul in the end to not cause more pain to her father and myunghee AND THEN HEETAE GOES TO MYUNGHEE HOUSE AND SAYS GOODBYE AND THAT THEY PROBABLY WON’T SEE EACH OTHER AGAIN AND SHE ENTERS THE HOUSE AND STARTS CRYING INSIDE THE FRONT PORCH AND HE’S OUTSIDE THE DOOR CRYING ASWELL.

WDYM SOOCHAN IS BLINDED BY HIS JEALOUSY like gosh we get it you juwahae (ifykyk;) ) myunghee but for it to go to the point that ur so blinded u decided to snake on heetae and myunghee TO HEETAE’S FATHER A MAN KNOWN FOR ABSOLUTE TORTURE whilst sooryeon also decides to be a bitch to myunghee and decided to say that she “DID NOT” know about heetae’s and myunghee’s relationship when you know damn well you did and why was she getting so pressed HER BEST FRIEND WAS LEAVING IN A MONTH AND ALL SHE WANTED WAS HAPPINESS, yet sooryeon decided to a bitch and call myunghee a fake friend all due to the fact that myunghee said the situation reminded her of how sooryeon kinda “got her to leave” (myunghee took the blame for sooryeon, but sooryeon didn't force her dw it was bcs sooryeon was her bsf and she didn't want sooryeon to take the blame) school, and just like right now, sooryeon wants myunghee to leave the country and go abroad for her studies so then sooryeon could have a peaceful marriage. AND OMG MYUNGHEE AND HEETAE WENT TO PICK UP MYUNGSOO FROM HIS TRAINING CAMP AND WE FOUND OUT JUNG TAE WAS HEETAE’S BROTHER SO THEY ALL GO OUT FOR LUNCH AND GO TO A THEME PARK AND AFTER JUNGTAE AND HEETAE WERE TALKING WHEN JUNGTAE CRASHES OUT ON HIM since his mum was being called a mistress even though jungtae was the legitimate son NOT HEETAE even though heetae was getting all credit and glaze. OMG IT SO SAD AT FIRST since myunghee told heetae to go and get engaged to sooryeon and so because she said that heetae acc got engaged with her and it was so sad bcs heetae and sooryeon was shopping for clothes for the engagement ceremony when they bumped into soochan and myunghee, and myunghee was helping soochan pick some clothes out OMG HE DEFO HAS A CRUSH BUT HE HASNT CLOCKED because he was going on about how myunghee considers sooryeon a sister so she should as sooryeon’s brother he should buy clothes for her. BUT IF SOOCHAN KNEW HIMSELF THAT HE HAD A CRUSH ON HER I don't think he would've said that but he so cute and giddy though he lowkey deserves a good woman. AND I KNOW WHY MYUNGHEE HATES HER FATHER its because she took the blame for some pro-democratic thing sooryeon did in high school but they forced the blame on her so she had to drop out of high school and even her dad told her to say yes to the fact she did be part of the pro-democratic activist thing even though she wasn't a part of it AT ALL. OMG HEETAE HAS SM TRAUMA BROSKI like wdym his friend kyung soo, a pro-democratic activist, made heetae treat other injured protesters e.g stitching wounds and wrapping bandages and wtv but then this girl sukchul comes along and she lost a lot of blood, and so heetae told his friend to go to the clinic nearby and get some stuff, yet on his way kyungsoo was caught, and arrested and sent to the military. Sookchul was presumably treated which is why she’s in a hospital bed and wanted to go home which is why heetae is going through desperate measures to get her transferred to Gwangju because he BLAMES himself for what had happened, and all those memories came flooding in when he fed an orphan that was residing at the orphanage that heetae and myunghee visited and that orphan had Gastroparesi, so she couldn't eat food or she would start vomiting, so he started blaming himself, saying everything he touches breaks, so he is t qualified to be doctor. Myunghee comforts him by saying that for a fact he will be a good doctor since he is feeling so much guilt indicating he is a responsible person. AND WHILST ALL THIS WAS HAPPENING HEETAE’S DAD TOOK SOORYEON IN FOR “QUESTIONING” SUNCE SHE WAS CAUGHT WITH ONE OF THE LEADERS OF THE PRO-DEMOCRACY MOVEMENT AND HEETAE’S DAD THREATENED HER SAYING IF SHE DID ANYTHING WRONG IT WOULDN'T BE HER GETTING AFFECTED BUT HER LOVED ONES INSTEAD AND THAT THIS IS HER LAST CHANCE. and plus her brother invested with some people who were introduced to him by heetae’s dad so if sooryeon backed out of the marriage, her brother and father would experience the aftermath. So for now she has to go along for the sake of her brother and father especially since her father’s company was struggling and her brother’s company just started, even though it would look bad on her as an activist who supports pro-democracy marrying a military officer’s son, as well as her the guy her best friend liked. AND I THOUGHT THEY BOTH GOT TOGETHER BUT AFTER HER STRUMMED THE GUITAR AND MADE A MELODY AND ASKED HER OUT SHE TOLD HIM TO GIVE HIM TIME AND EVENTUALLY A FEW DAYS LATER AFTER WORK, IT WAS THE NIGHT AND HE WAS WAITING WITH ROSES, HE EVEN WROTE IN HIS LETTER TO KYUNGSOO ABOUT HOW HE FINALLY KNEW WHAT LOVE IS, YET WHEN MYUNGHEE GETS TO THE PLACE HEETAE WAS WAITING FOR HER OUTSIDE HER HOME, SHE ASKS HIM IF HE COULD JUST MARRY SOORYEON INSTEAD LIKE WHATATTTT

ITS CALLED IT BECAUSE MYUNGHEE AND HEETAE START DATING IN MAY 1980 UNTIL THE END OF THE MONTH WHERE SHE’S SCHEDUELED TO LEAVE FOR ABROAD. at first she broke up with him so they only have “happy” memories but then heetae decided to be myunghee’s landord’s daughter’s tutor and he stayed afterwards for dinner and eventually after dinner heetae stayed over and in the middle of night heetae uses the landlord’s son’s guitar (the son is enlisted in the military so he’s not in the scene) and whilst doing so wakes up myunghee who both then have a talk and eventually come to an agreement that they should date until the end of May, BUT heetae’s dad is catching up to them because at sochan’s opening ceremony for his new pharmaceuticals company where the gain licensed patents and create medicines in Korea instead of importing them from abroad, heetae’s dad notices how heetae was always staring at myunghee even though heetae was supposedly to be in love with sooryeon, and so he got suspicious and ordered his men to tail his OWN son, and I THINK myunghee & her dad have a connection with heetae’s since we saw a past memory where heetae was looking through a gap in the door, and saw myunghee screaming at her dad saying “I DIDNT DO IT!” or something along those lines. AND I THINK SOOCHAN HAS ONESIDED LOVE FOR MYUNGHEE BECAUSE HE’S ALWAYS GOING IUT OF HIS WAY FOR HER LIKE HE SO KING AND UGHUGHH and it was so funny when heetae visited soonryeon whilst she was protesting at the top of a building, saying heetae wanted to go on a date with sooryeon, only for to get pissed and stand on the edge of the rooftop only to slip, and luckily get saved by heetae. And once they got to the hospital they started arguing, which amplified to myunghee how alike they were, reminding her of what soochan said saying “although they may squabble, they will live happy lives together” or something, idk. But it kinda added on to myunghee’s list of excuses as to why she shouldn’t go on those dates with heetae anymore until heetae decided to convince in the end to go out with her YAYAYAY.

OMG I swear to god if the producers pull out some heartbreaking backstory for heetae im genuinely gonna crash because he’s so kind and charismatic its insane, like myunghee tried to get him disgusted from this really run-down restaurantand then he goes “I've used to eat people’s leftovers, so this is fine.” LIKE WHO DID THIS TO MY BEBEH HEETAE and myunghee’’s brother makes ME SOB because he loves his noona and abooji (see the Korean lang I used there ;) ) yet they're fighting like broskiki, I have a feeling myunghee’s dad wasted all their money on gambling even though he was successful athlete, just like his son is rn, until he experienced an accident. Low-key my hypothesis cooked. WHEN HEETA DUNKED WATER ON MYUNGHEE’S COWORKERS FOR SHITTALKING HER I WAS SO GASSED LIKE YES DUDEE, he probably knew myunghee wasn't sooryeon by then, because why else would he get pissed about somebody shittalking about myunghee, a person who he shouldn't “technically” know. its acc really GOOD but I watched ep 12 first thinking it was ep 1 so I spoiled it for myself so Ik myunghee dies and heetae thinks she's still alive until they recover her body in a construction site 41 years later, BUT OMG SO FAR SO GOOD I love soo ryeon’s giggly personality and I love how she made myunghee go to the blind date with heetae so that after sooryeon would pay the airfare for myunghee so she could go to her abroad uni but for heetae I have sm questions like who's the patient he’s trying to transfer from Seoul and his dad seems like such a bastard like I think he”s tortured people before and he’s probably a dirty politician, and at first I lowkey thought soochul and myunghee would get together but NOW ITS HEETA AND MYUNGHEE EEKK and she lowkey has such a cute face aswell eheh.

OMG this kdrama really enlightened me in the sense that even the strongest of loves don't always win. I don't really hate yijin to be honest because for some careers are just as important as their personal lives and how could he have supported heedo whilst he was struggling to support himself yet it wasn’t his right to experience that misery alone when he should’ve shared with heedo. And she was left all alone countless times because he couldn't meet up with her so I felt bad yet I understand that he wouldn't risk his career like that since just 10 years ago he considered himself a failure due to the imf crisis. AND BRO they broke up at the same place they met (outside her house) AND SEUNGEAN WORK FOR ENTERTAINMAINT AND REALITY SHOW AT LBS. a news company I think and jiwoong made his own fashion business after his website took off with all the photos of models and how everyone loves his fashion style, yurim opened a fencing club school after she retired. Now everyone’s gone their own way EXCEPT YURIM SND JIWOONG WHO ARE GETTING MARRIED AFTER HE PROPOSED TO HER IN FRONT OF HER STUDENTS AFTER PRETENDING TO BE ONE OF THE THEM AND INITIATE A MATCH WITH HER AND SHE DIDNT CLOCK UNTIL HE TOOK OF HIS MASK.

BRO OMG jiwoong kept his word and acc visited yurim in Russia eekk. And yurim and heedo hugging after heedo won the gold medal got me so emotional bs they forced to be enemies in fencing but they made to be besties. AND YIJIN LIKE BRO HEEDO SUPPORTED U SM IN UR CAREER yet all he could do is come up with countless sorrys whilst she struggled to make time for him, I think they gonna break up next episode but I honestly don't blame him especially when he was mentally suffering sm with him being a reporter like for example in the ep some crane fell killing like 3 workers and he was so sad just watching the families sob and wanting their family back and he went drinking with his sunbae (the sexc dude that helped him out when he was a starter) and they started drinking and how yijin couldn’t handle it and then the Dunbar gives advice saying you should grow numb to it and learn to get used to it so u don't get affected but then yijin said he wants to feel it, feel their pain and wtv and then his sunbae surprises him by inviting heedo so yijin could feel better after reporting such a disastrous incident, and it was so cute because yijin was drunk and screamed her name when he saw heedo but I truly want them to be endgame but I don’t think the kdrama will let it. AND OH YEAH IDK IF IT WAS TS EP OR LAST EP BUT SEUNGWAN GOT INTO COLLEGE (UK VER. OF UNI)

I need to stop using sm caps lmao. But OMG YURIM AND JIWOONG they are honestly SO cute bro like wdym they were on the bus tg and were listening to a recording of her dad singing a song and then after there was snippet of a combo which was also recorded where yurim told her parents that she got a bf and then her dad replied something like “I will always be the one to love you most” and then jiwoong replies with something like “i’ll be beating that” (like beating her dad at loving her) LIKE THAT SO CUTE WHAT. And her dad got into an accident AND I WAS SO SCARED like if he died I low-key would've lost my father figure but thank god he was alive but then he serverly injured somebody else and they were asking for settlement money for their medical bills etc. and obviously since they were in debt they couldn’t pay it and since yurim was looking for a fencing job straight after senior year she decided to pick the highest paying job WHICH HAD TI BE FROM RUSSIA so she needed to change her nationality and obviously she would've gotten backlash for it and be called a traitor, which she did, BUT GUESS WHO DECIDED TO REPORT IT ON THE NEWS? YIJIN. Like rn I hate him sm like istg if heedo go back to him omds. BUT it was low-key hilarious when yurim got cornered at the gym at tae yang high by the reporters and then heedo came to save her by faking a yurim mannequin and telling the reporters she was ready for a press conference abt her changing her nationality in the gym and then tricking them all to go in, which gave them the chance to escape. AND JIWOONG THE MAN U ARE, like wdym he’s gna work part-time jobs so he can visit her in Russia even though she wanted to break up with him at first since she didn't want to share her misery with him, and then she was about to go and then he rushes to the hospital with his mum’s car which HE DRIVES BEAR IN MIND WHILST SPEEDING, SPEEDING I TELL YOU! and fins her rushes to her goes in about he will always be here for her and she shouldn't look at anyone and that he wants her to share her misery with him and eventually they kiss WHICH WILL PROBABLY THE KISS I’LL REMEBER THE MOST. I WON’T REMEMBER HEEDO AND YIJIN’S KISS WHEN THEY GOT TOGETHER SINCE I DIN’T RATE YIJIN NO MORE.

AND HEEDO MUM MADE ME SO SAD LIKE WDYM SHE HAD TO PUT HER CAREER FIRST OVER HER HUSBAND SINCE MANY OF HER SENIOR WORKERS DIDNT WANT HER IN HER POSITION SO SHE HAD TO PROVE HERSELF EVEN IF IT MEANT MISSING HER HUSBAND’S FUNERAL EVEN THOUGH SHE DIDNT WANT TO AND SHE COULDN’T ATTEND HIS FUNERAL BUT SHE EVENTUALY BROKE DOWN WITH HEEDO ON HIS DEATH ANNIVERSARY AT HIS BURIAL AND IT WAS SO SAD IT MADE MY CRY MAN.

BRO YIJIN TOOK HEEDO YURIM SEUNGWAN AND JIWOONG ALL ON A TRIP TO THE BEACH IT WAS SO CUTE, AND IT WAS SO FUNNY WHEN IT WAS FIRST PLANNED ONLY FOR YURIM AND HEEDO BUT THEN SEUNGWAN BRIBED HIM WITH HER MUM’S FOOD AND HE EVENTUALLY LET THEM. I STARTED GIGGLING WHEN YIJIN GAVE HIS UNCLE SEUNGWAN’S LIQUOR AS A GIFT FROM HER THAT SHE BOUGHT FROM HOME FOR EVERYONE TO HAVE IN SECRET. IT WAS SO SAD WHEN HEEDO STARTED TALKING ABT HER FAMILY AND OMG JIWOONG’S MUM IS SO HARSH ON HIM ITS SO SAD AND HIS PARENTS ARE DIVORCED AS WELL LIKE WHAT. AND THERE WAS TS MOMENT WHERE I THOUGHT HEEDO AND YIJIN WOULD KISS BUT THEY DIDNT AND I GOT SO PISSED LIKE WHAT.

SO GOOD BASICALLY YIJIN CONFRONTS HEEDO ABOUT SHE’S AVOIDING HIM AND SHE GOES ON A WHOLE TANTRU ABOUT SHE’S JEALOUS OF HIM YET LIKES HIM YET HAS AN INFERIORTY COMPLEXT TOWARDS HIM SINCE HE’S AND ADULT BUT EVENTUALLY THEY FIX IT UP. AMD YIJIN HAD TO PRESENT THE NEWS VIA PHONE BUT NEEDED A LANDLINE SO HE USED HEEDO’S ONE AT HER HOUSE SINCE HE WAS NEARBY AND ONCE HE WAS DONE HER MUM CAME BACK FROM WORK AND HE FOUND WHO HEEDO’S MUM WAS. AND FINALLY YURIM SAYS SORRY TO HEEDO AND TELLS HER SHE’S HEEDO’S ONLINE BUDDY AND THEY PRETTY MUCH BECOME BESTIES AND DURING THE DOCUMENTARY SHOOTUNG THAT YIJIN’S COMPANY WAS LEADING EVN THOUGH HE WASN’T THERE BECAUSE HE WAS HELPING OUT WITH EDITING, HEEDO BECOMES INJURED AND HE STARTS CRAHSING OUT WITH HIS COWORKER AND HE CARRIES HER TO THE HOSPITAL PRINCESS STYLE AND EVENTUALLY WHEN GOING TO THE HOSPITAL THEY SEE A RAINBOW SO THEY STOP N THEY START TALKING AND THEY WERE TALKING ABOUT WHAT THEIR RELATIONSHIP WAS AND HEEDO DESCRIBES IT AS A RAINBOW BUT THEN YIJIN SAYS HE DESCRIBES IT AS LOVE AND RANDOMLY CONFESSES TO HEEDO SAYING HE LOVES HER LIKE WHATATATT.
