I usually don't like series where actors act like characters in a manga, but I'm really enjoying this one . It isn't just cute and funny - the characters are also well written and relatable. Who didn't have a Toki-kind of thug in their class, and who didn't know that one special teacher who was able to tame him?
It's pure pleasure watching actors who know how to act and who obviously had fun when they made this series. Off and Gun are among the very best actors Thai BL has to offer, and I must admit that I love to see Neo in a comic role again.
So that was that. I'm glad it's over, but I'll miss those boys. I sincerely wish this gorgeous cast will get the opportunity to play in a series or movie with a proper script, a director who knows his job, and a musical director who has a few more ideas than just playing the same couple of Christmas carols episode after episode.
My favourite episode so far. The way these two are getting closer is displayed so sensitively, and Jimmy and Sea's acting is amazing here. P'Aof at his best once again..
I don't think that this series is targeting the usual BL viewers, at least not at underaged yaoi girls, so maybe…
I'm sorry if my post sounded like I was looking down on a certain group of BL fans - I 'm not. I was just trying to say that this series is targeted at different groups of BL fans than most series.
I just watched the first 2 episodes and don't know if I can get through 10 more episodes. Usually Thai BLs fail…
I don't think that this series is targeting the usual BL viewers, at least not at underaged yaoi girls, so maybe the writer/director doesn't even try to understand BL audiences. Making a BL series about the Faust/Mephistopheles topic is a daring thing, but I think it's an interesting alternative to the usual high school/college BLs.
I agree with you that the mom in 180 degrees was acting so OTT that I finally skipped all her scenes. Sunshine is a disgusting character indeed, but I do think that Atom is displaying him quite well. There may also be some character development in the 8 episodes to come. Maybe even Sunshine learns something.
Whether time travel exists is irrelevant - this is no science documentary. Whether the plot is logical doesn't matter to me either, because when a series is about time travel it can't be all that logical. What matters here is the atmosphere and the emotions that are brilliantly painted. And of course Mix and most of all Tor's amazing acting. The last few episodes were just great.
The series is not that bad but definitely not everyone's cup of tea. What ruins it for me is just the over the…
I loved YimTutor in "Cutie Pie", but even more so in their Tiktok series "Our Winter" which was freaking cute. So I was looking forward to "Middleman's Love", but Jade's character is so OTT that it's painful watching. I'll give it one more chance next week, but if it goes on like this I'll drop it.
This is the perfect example of what's wrong about Thai BL series, well, at least many of them - true, there are some handsome boys, but there's no plot, but just some bored rich guys spending their time doing nothing, a writer who believes viewers all have alzheimer's so there are lots of flashbacks of scenes seen a few minutes before, and editing that thinks random shots of electric power lines make good transitions.
Like "180 Degrees", this series can't be compared to the usual Thai BL series. The writing ( as far as it can be judged after just 1 episode), the cinematography, the acting, and the music are near perfection. In some scenes I thought that it felt like the intellectual version of "A Gift to the People you Hate".
Atom is brilliant here, and I'm really excited for the 11 episodes that are still to come.
I'm very happy to see Guide here as one of the lead with Ohm but Ohm's performance was a bit muted. I hope that's…
Ohm's performance is always "a bit muted" - I know someone who calls him a "broomstick" (which I would never do...). As many commentators here, I'm watching this for Guide.
