I liked the first 2 episodes, but then Charlie was stupid enough to listen to that awful girl and intrude his love interest's privacy, and today we got an episode with just Charlie pitying himself and more advice from that stupid girl. There's only one way to save this series: Give us less of that stupid girl and more of the gorgeous Plantito, and most importantly,, make Charlie grow up.
Time for Perth and Chimon to graduate and be given an adult role. Perth played a university student in Love by…
Perth had a wonderful scene at the beginning of episode 3 of UWMA. It was the first time I saw him (I watched UWMA before LBC), and since then I've thought he's one of the most gifted Thai BL actors. When he played a police officer in "Double Savage", I hoped he'd left high school and college behind, but GMMTV loves to put grown up guys in shorts.
I love this series, no matter what other say. Everyone has a like or dislike and for me this series is nothing…
I agree with almost everything you say, and I do appreciate Studio Wabi Sabi very much. There's only one of their series that wasn't good - "Even Sun". But this one may be their best with respect to cinematography, and I absolutely love Tor's acting.
For all those who like Pinoy BL series, but are frustrated about Oxin productions, I would recommend "My Plantito". There are 2 main leads - Kych Minemoto, who has proven that he can act, and Michael Ver Comaling, a Mister Grand Philippines with a captivating smile and some more qualities when shirtless, which fortunately happens frequently. There are only 2 support characters, the script is simple, but there is one, and the production quality is better than in many other Pinoy Bls. The series premiered unsubbed on Tiktok, but is now airing on Puregold's youtube channel with English subs.
I like it. It's entertaining, the production quality is good, and although this is sponsored by a chain of grocery stores, product placement isn't as omnipresent as in many Thai BL series.
As everything in life is relative, I would say that this week's episode was the best so far - in a relative sense. Some Fizeke scenes had the charm and authenticity as in season 1, Kevin has been turned into a character with a credible story, and Jake Villamir, or Jake Sevilla, as he usually calls himself, is a good singer.
One of the best series of 2023. An unusual love story, brilliantly written, directed, and acted. Since the final episode left a lot of questions unanswered, I'd love to see in season 2 how these two guys get along.
This is an exceptional series. It's rare for a BL series that the protagonists actually speak frankly with each other - so many mediocre series are based on unnecessary misunderstandings. It's also hard not to fall in love with Ryuji, the best friend everybody can wish for, and Amane, whose smile is so cute and whose laughing is contagious, and still we know what he's hiding behind it. Japan is setting the bar for BL series very high these days.
Many Thai Bl series with such a long runtime are artificially dragged, but this isn't. Every time an episode is over, I wonder, is it really over yet? I think I wrote it before, but I'm writing it again: This is a masterpiece.
Great start. Writing, cinematography and acting are good, and the leads have an amazing chemistry. Looks like we're going to get the next beautiful JBL, although I'm already sad that it has only 5 episodes.
