Perth and Chimon are easily among the best Thai BL actors, when I refuse to use the term "actor" for many of the boys who pretend to be acting in Thai BLs. A power couple, and a true pleasure to watch. I hope the story will be as good as the actors.
Just like "I Feel You Linger In The Air", I think this was a good start, too. The blend of rom and com is good, with the OTT comedic parts being funny, not annoying like in some other comedies. Both couples have great chemistry, and Offroad, who carried "Our Days" for me, is great in this role, too. All in all a breath of fresh air which was urgently needed after the recent train wrecks of Thai BL like "Dinosaur Love" and "Hidden Agenda".
I thought this was a good start. I'm always a little skeptical about time travel plots, but this worked for me, because the cinematography was good. I also like the acting, and I didn't think it was too slow paced, because there needed to be an explanation of the premise as well as introduction of the characters. I just hope they can keep up the quality.
Waiting a week for an "episode" of 13 minutes, and what do we get? A devious girl, homophobic bullying, a scene we've seen in ep 2 (Damien helping Granny), and the main couple fooling around drunk. All this after a great episode 0, and an episode 2 that was watchable. Waste of time.
Dino is the most unpleasant BL character since Tonhon, and this mess of a series is so bad that it's impossible to drop it. I sincerely wish my favourite characters Chalarm and Kram to fall in love with each other.
I'm watching this for Ping, but I think that all the actors are doing a decent job. Beam and Bright, who are talented…
I saw Ping for the first time in "Project S: Side by Side" where he played an autistic boy. He was only 12, but his talent already showed. Tor Thanapob played the same character at age 18 or so, and he was fantastic, too. It's one of my favourite series.
Six episodes in and I'm only left with one question, who did the director sleep with and/or pay off in university…
I'm watching this for Ping, but I think that all the actors are doing a decent job. Beam and Bright, who are talented too, share Ping's bad luck to play in weak productions. I did enjoy watching Ping and Tar Atiwat in the Pee Nak movies.
IMO Foei is a good actor, though. Okay, he was OTT in "Baker Boys", but he was very good in "The Player", "Double Savage", "10 Years Ticket", and "Manner of Death". None of these characters was one-dimensionally evil, and he delivered their ambiguity perfectly.
There are times (this show being one of them) that I think censorship causes them to be much more creative in…
I completely agree with this. It may sound a bit far fetched, comparing East German literature in communist times with a Chinese BL series, but East German authors and songwriters also found their subtle ways to give censorship the runaround, and everybody who wanted to understand did understand them. There are some scenes in this series I would call subversive.
I was a little confused. Maybe this had just too many threads given the short runtime. I have a feeling that it may be better to wait until all episodes have been released and watch them in one go.
After "Awkward Love", another beautiful short film from Pomthani, and proof that good writing, directing, and acting doesdn't need inner monologue, fourth wall, or even dialogue.
