This is complete nonsense, but the boys obviously had fun making this series, and it's a pleasure watching them having fun. Many scenes feel like the director simply told the boys "now just fool around".
When "Naked Dining" started, I thought it would be as good as "Our Dining Table", but whereas the latter was beautiful from beginning to end, "Naked Dining" didn't keep up the quality of the first episodes. What a pity. It could have been a great series.
This has been a big surprise. What looked like a remake of the Japanese movie "Restart After Come Back Home" at first, turned out to be a charming, well-written and directed BL series without most of the annoying tropes of other productions. The acting of the leads was on point, and it's hard to believe that Yoon Do Jin is a rookie. He was absolutely convincing in playing the seemingly innocent, but almost wise country boy. There needs to be a season 2.
It took me some time to start liking this series, but I liked episode 9 very much. Maybe I shouldn't, but I must admit that I'm enjoying to watch all these evil people.
After this episode I wished there would be a Japanese remake with the same cast, but only 8 half-hour episodes. It hurts to see these talented actors wasted by an awful script.
The first few minutes were okay - the kids were lovely. After that, we got the typical flaws of many Filipino low budget series, like a weird plot (if any), cliché characters, tropes like the same person being run over by the person's car he will soon bump into, spilling his coffee, and serious sound problems. We also got some of the typical strengths of Filipino low budget series, like some handsome actors and a nice OST. If that's enough to keep people watching it for 10 episodes has to be seen.
This is clearly one of the shows that should be binged when it's complete. But I'll still watch the next episode next Friday, just because I want to know... The young actors are amazing.
I still like this series a lot - mainly because of the acting of some of the actors, especially Title, Suar, and above all Copter. The script has major logical flaws in this episode, but when I want to watch something logical i watch a Discovery Channel documentary. It's a drama based on pure fantasy (there simply isn't anything like temporary hearing loss when it's raining, not to mention temporary telepathy), so I don't expect a logical plot.
Hope that the fact Xion post a hire advert for a writer is a sign he understand the one he have need to return…
I'm not sure that it's mainly a problem of the writers. One of them is Easy Ferrer who wrote and directed "The Day I Loved You" which was beautifully written. But what can a writer do when the person who finances the whole thing tells them to include stories about Miss Becky, the dog, and a restaurant in Chiang Mai whose chef runs around in high heels.
When the main couple take 3rd seat to the secondary couple and a freaking 10 billionth timed kidnapped dog the…
"They need to reexamine their writing and production" - I totally agree with you, But the problem is that Oxin productions are commercially by far the most successful Pinoy BL series since the glorious days of "GSP", "Gameboys", and "Hello Stranger", so I guess that they won't change anything.
I'm nervous about the series they'll be launching next week, "Tie The Not", because again the cast has great talents like Orly Mejia and Daryll Rodriguez, but like in "Rainbow Prince" and "My Story", there will be red uniforms and at least one of Xion Lim's hobbies - ancient cars this time, although I'm not sure that he won't find a writer to write those bloody dogs into the new series, too.
