It's hard to follow without subs for text messages, and it's unpleasant to watch the managers, but this is obviously not meant to be a feelgood series, but to give a clue what's going on behind the scenes. It feels realistic, and Billy and especially Seng's acting make it worth watching.
It feels like there is high voltage between Phayoo and Rain, but nothing at all between Khim and Sun. Noh is a big surprise after his weak performance in Nitiman, but then everybody in Nitiman performed a lot below their skills, so it was probably not the actors' fault..
Hmm, weren't these guys already in College? Now they are all back in High School. The story doesn't look too unique, either. Anyway, I like Bever and Tee. Let's give it the 3-episodes chance.
I'm a little disappointed. If they hadn't mentioned that they are in a parallel universe, there would have been no indication that this is the basic idea of the story. I also had expected more from Jimmy, but it seems his acting skills are very limited, especially compared to Sea's.
This is the 21st century. There are ways to communicate, even if your love interest lives across the ocean. But why should they communicate when they are apart, if they are unable to communicate when they are in the same room? Maybe they'll start talking in the final episode, but that feels a little too late.
How can 25 minutes be over so fast? I love everything about this series, even the ex who isn't evil for a change, and Asuka who definitely deserves a series of his own. I'm already waiting for next Wednesday.
Seng and Billy were already amazing in SCOY which started like an OTT comedy and turned out to be one of the best series of the year thanks to them. Since then, it seems they have both made a big step forward. Great start into this series.
I was about to drop this show after episode 3, but now I'm glad I didn't, for two reasons, and they both involve Rain. No. 1: For me, Phayu and him are the real leads of this show, and they are amazing together. No 2: Rain and Shun's kiss felt much more real than 95% of all kisses in BL series. I didn't like Noh too much in Nitiman, but here he is doing a great job.
I'll rather not say anything about the Khim/Sun storyline, or I'll start ranting.
If you're looking for a fly in the ointment, you'll sure find one. I'll rather enjoy the ointment and ignore the fly. So I can love this show wholeheartedly..
After yesterday's "Star and Sky" disaster, it's great to watch a series with a real script, with a director who knows his job, and with actors who can actually act. This show is also improving since they stopped shifting from OhmNanon to JimmySea and vice versa. I hope we're getting to see a series with OhmNanon in the parallel universe.
I'll rather not say anything about the Khim/Sun storyline, or I'll start ranting.
