After episode 7 I suspected that everything that happened there would be reversed in episode 8 to complete the mess of season 2, and I was right. So predictable, this mess. Does that "Maybe someday" hint at a season 3? I hope not. The actors deserve something better.
True, this is no match to "You're my sky", but I've seen much worse BL series than this. Of course, the plot is kind of worn out, but Poon is a very attractive guy, and I also like Gap's way of playing his stubborn, slow country boy character. I love seeing Olive again - she's such a nice actress. And I liked the Spanish gypsy pop music playing during the match.
Again, a positive surprise. The obvious way the trip - stare scene was prepared was funny. and when the expected happened, it came with an ironic wink. The only annoying thing was the maid's overacting as it unfortunately happens in many Pinoy BL series. No wonder Kelly is getting a headache time and again. All in all, a nice episode, though a little too short.
I like the sensitive way this story is being told. The characterization of the step brothers comes slowly, but plausibly. The bullying is very true-to-life. I also like the acting. This series is growing on me.
I usually don't like movies with sad endings, but this one at least leaves the hope that the two boys may reunite some day (maybe in a season 2?), so I'm okay with it. The guy who plays Wut is a natural. Hope to see more from him.
Even the scenes that are completely predictable - like Topfah running back to help his team -are so well done that they don'z come across cringey. And then there are real surprises like the evil coach turning out to be not completely evil. This series is really well scripted, and the acting is as great. My favourite at the moment.
So what do we have? An office crew who never work, a doctor who's always absent from his hospital and avoids his fiancée, a young man who is obviously the centre of the world, and almost nothing happens for almost an hour. Why am I still watching? Because of Son Ravisut who IMO is one of the best Thai BL actors I've come across so far, a true natural. Milk's little brothers are fun, too - give them a series of their own, please.
I really liked season 1, but this was getting worse from week to week. And now it is even one more week. Where probably everything that happened in episode 7will be reversed again, so that the mess is complete.
This series is so much better than I expected. New's acting is great, his voice is beautiful. Zee is brilliant, too. And btw I was probably the only one who liked Nat in Y Destiny, and I love him in this one. What a surprise this is!
I don't usually comment on BL's that are still airing or that I haven't finished watching yet, but reading people's…
Thank you for this rant. I must admit I did compare Enchanté with BB when it started, but that was due to my serious withdrawal symptoms when one of my favourite BL series of all times was finished. But after a week or two I made my peace with it, and realised how unfair it was to compare Book and Force, who are almost newbies who are successfully trying to do their best, with Ohm and Nanon, who are experienced actors plus longtime friends. But then, I'm not guilty in points 3 and 4, because I understood what Theo's character was meant to be from the start, and I watch BL series not although but because they usually aren't real-life documentaries. This may not be the best BL series of all times, but definitely not the worst either, and I'm enjoying it.
