A creepy, unprofessional, intrusive doctor, a creepy, matchmaking, intrusive mother, a spoiled, pouting brat who needs a beating more than a physical therapy, all brought together by a weird script. I'll still keep watching it because of Son who is simply hot. Oh, and Dr Yang of course.
After Bad Buddy, I didn't expect GMMTV to release another series of a similar quality so soon, but here it is! Cinematography, script, and acting are brilliant. And honestly, who would have thought any other couple could beat OffGun's chemistry? But then there's FlukeFirst - amazing!
I've always defended Ranz Gonzales' productions, but I'm losing my patience now. The writing is terrible - it took Luke and Calix 8 episodes of yelling at each other, then they reconcile out of nowhere, and I bet they again won't end up together for some improbable coincidence, because main couples never have a happy ending in Ranz Gonzales series. Juanmig's illness also comes without any preparation. Well, at least Allen and Clark were allowed to display some acting skills in ep 9. Like in the iconic rain scene in "Paano Kaya" it is Clark who sets an emotional highlight of the show.
Valen and Kaitoon are a lovely couple. I like the realistically cautious way their relationship is growing. The tattoo scene was cute. And what is more: it's not even the final episode, and they are kissing! I mean, not cheek-pecking, but kissing! In Phuket!
If you don't mind me asking, why don't you like saint? if there is a specific reason.
I don't mind you asking. I'm actually asking myself when exactly it started, and why. It just happened some time during LBC when everybody else loved him.
I usually don't like the fan girls and boys in BL series, but this fan group is lovely. I also don't like Saint much, but here he was brilliant, almost like a caricature of himself full of self-irony. I think it's a good idea to tell the story from the fan group's point of view. It's a silly little comedy, and it did to me what it was supposed to do - it made me laugh.
This series has me glued to the screen. Some of the Shiro-Ichiro moments are killing me - "Don't snore."- "You, too." Then the next moment the suspense is hard to endure. The writing is near perfection, and so is the acting.
I only made it to the finale because of YachtYoon. The relationship of the main couple was toxic all the time, and Maze crossing Phap's signature painting in the finale was the symbol of it. It was completely implausible for them to end up together. For a moment I hoped Phap would end up with Beam, and now I hope there will be a BL series with a better script starring Tae and Bruce.
After reading these comments I don't even want to finish it.. I'll go watch paint with love instead
Imo it's way better than that boring PwL which has been going "one step forward two steps backward" since episode 1. Maybe this review may change your mind; it reflects what I think about this series, but am not able to express in English: https://blbliss.com/my-blog/f/ben-x-jim-forever---202122---philippines
