Why do you think Kamen Rider Ryuki was average? I think it's an awesome blend of intriguing serious plot coupled with good characters with each having their reasons to fight, and then some comedy episodes in-between (ep 29 is just pure comedy gold). I'm new to whole genre.

This show skips a lot time-wise and not a single second is a filler. I like it a lot. You really have to focus a bit and be able to recall things which happened earlier to get most of it. Rewatch recommended.
