don't let the campy humor distract you from a heartfelt story
In my subjective opinion, this is an adorable drama. Very silly in parts? Yes. Leaning heavily into campy humor tropes? Yes. Sweet meaningful storyline? Also yes.I particularly enjoyed the ways that the story demonstrates both how language barriers can be difficult, and how they also don't matter sometimes. I really loved the way that the sound and mannerisms of spoken Thai were contrasted with the sound and mannerisms of spoken Korean. This was a unique feeling drama and I will be watching it again in the future.
