I'm sad that the drama is ending BUT... also nervous as I don't think it can be properly wrapped up in just one episode... Usually dramas with super high rating would have an SP (special) episode or even continuation in the form of a movie. Don't think this drama is that high in rating though. Crossing my finger and hoping for a ハッピーエンド for both our leads.
Arrrrgh, episode 10 is so frustrating. When Kuroiwa breaks up with with Hijiri, i just want to slap his face. He should’ve thought about the consequences before he approached her the 2nd time around. He’s still so childish.
Synopsis for next episode 10: “Meet Me After School” Episode 10 Watch it Tuesday, December 11, at 10:00 p.m. 『中学聖日記』第10話 12月11日火曜日 午後10時
Hijiri and Akira spend a night alone together at a campsite on the island and at last come to understand each other’s true feelings. But when the ferry back to the mainland reaches Tokyo, Hijiri finds her mother, Satomi, waiting for them on the pier. Satomi refuses to listen to what Hijiri has to say, and the two young people become separated once again. 引き裂かれるふたり 認められない恋の行方は…!?
Akira's persistency and consistency finally paid off.
He was a 15 year old middle schooler with a crush on his homeroom teacher, who is 10 years older and engaged to an elite salaryman. But he was honest and direct with his feelings. I lost count how many times he told sensei he loves her.
But 3 years/ 9 episodes later, they are finally together. Although I don't understand a thing they're saying during the confession scene but their body language is as clear as day.
It's frustrating that now both moms are interfering in their adult kids relationship. I would like too see both Hjiri and Akira together in one screen standing up for each other. All this while they have been doing it alone. But now that they're together, I want them to hold hands and never let go.
PS: Seems like Akira still calls Hijiri, sensei. That should stop cause it's way too weird.
I was reading netizen reaction to casting of Okada as a middle schooler and this comment made me laugh. "I wonder if they used a 19 year-old because real middle schoolers are yuck" LOL, so true.
Hijiri with long hair is stunning. And I love her with that smile while playing with the kids.
Desperately need sub NOW.
