Is this some sort of remake of Descendants of the Sun? How good is this compared to that?
No, I wouldn't say so. There are definitely similarities but still, not a remake. I think it's definitely worth a watch. But do keep in mind that it's almost twice as long. 😅
I just started this series but can somebody tell me what happens to Leon and Pob? The comments here are ambiguously…

Leon and Pob had gotten together and had a heathy and sweet relationship going. Pob had earlier (over a year ago) applied to an organization to teach under privileged children and in the last episode he got a reply for it. The timespan of work and his absence is ambiguous and it's not in Thailand. So, Pob and Leon breakup (again, it's portrayed very well and the acting is also great) because neither of them wants to hold the other one back from either pursuing their dreams or moving forward in life. There's a special episode coming out in a week or two. Hoping for a happy ending for this couple. If you've not watched this series because you've been waiting for it to end, maybe you'll want to wait for the special episode to air before you begin.
does anyone knows where can i read the novel version of this?
Even I've been searching for it but couldn't find it. Not even a reference towards it. So, I think it's actually not based on a novel. As in, the characters are from TT but don't really have a novel of their own.
I don't know what happened to the end. But I am sure it's SEASON 2!!!!
I think what that meant was, the whole story that we just watched about Nubsib & Gene (the whole 'Lovely Writer' series) is actually a novel. A book written by Ms. Rose (She is the Lady we see at the end of episode 12). This books is now going to get a series adaptation. Basically, Lovely Writer is a book written by Ms. Rose about Nubsib & Gene. At least that is what I gathered. There's a good chance that I'm totally off about it. :D
