I don't think Jun Oh was aware - maybe he had a feeling that something's wrong - he was a healthy, fit young man thst couldn't hold a 5 yo kid. And then he was possessed by Do Ha and he took his body with all his issues. Later there is shown that Do Ha's thoughts and feelings "imprints" themselves into Jun Oh's mind when he thought about Young Hwa during his recovery.
first episode got me hooked - I can't compare this remake to Korean version simply because I couldn't get past the first episode, I mean I finished it but not without struggles but I might to try again. I must admit that they done great job with casting - Ashida Mana is 100% Park Eun Bin and Takahashi Fumiya have the same smile as Kang Tae Oh.

I started TPGTL because I LOVED the FL in the Love Scout and I expected similar experience and portrayal of the FL but this was seriously like time travel to the 60's television shows.

also she broke up with Ji Uk because she didn't want to burden him and wanted to give him a chance to pursue his own happiness without any obligation to anyone (because his life was always an obligation to his toxic grandmother) or pressure to do certain things. Also she knew that being older than him it gives her the leverage and when she learnt how his life was in the past - without any social or love life, without things that a lot of teenagers and teen adults are doing - she recognizes that he was at lost with that aspects and wanted to give him the opportunity to gain it.
