I'm gonna talk about Faith because it's the only one I've seen so far in that list. The Great Doctor (Faith) is my favourite drama. I was unsure of it (Gu Family Book being closely second in my heart) but I did a Faith rewatch last week and now I'm pretty sure of it : it is my favourite drama in all the dramas I've seen.
I first decided to watch it because I'm a Lee Minho fan (and I really like Historical dramas as well) and I followed the original Korean broadcast. Waiting for the next episode used to be so hard, and I remember being sad when it finished. It used to be the highlight of my week during the three months it aired. Rewatching it a year and a half afterwards (I marathoned it, watching roughly 4 to 5 episodes a day) made me realise two things : the emotions I had felt the first time I watched it were intact, untouched, and loving it so fondly the first time didn't change at all. I loved Faith with my whole heart just as the first time. Maybe even more. The other thing I realised was that it is not a drama you should marathon if you're watching it for the first time. Faith is a drama that needs decantation, rest. Leave two or three days between each episode to really appreciate it. Although Lee Minho and Kim Hee Sun have a ten year-old difference, their characters never suffered from it. The alchemy between Choi Young and Eun Soo is incredible in my opinion. Just as their feelings towards each other evolve, all characters evolve as well. I never thought it was slow, maybe because I loved it so much I was appreciating each minute of each episode. I'd love to talk more about it, but I'm gonna stop here. I know I could go on and on. :)
